The itinerary was significantly different to what was booked. Expected a 12 to 14 hour day starting at 8am but ended up being a 16.5 hour day starting at 7am. The main part of the tour, and the reason for booking, was the opportunity to spend a decent amount of time at the lake in the mountains. As the itinerary changed so much we didn’t get to the lake until about 8pm, after sunset. It was gloomy and too misty to see any mountains. We also only spent 20 minutes there. Which was enough at that time of day….knowing we still had a 3.5 hour drive back to the hotel. If they had given us the opportunity the day before to review the new itinerary, we would have cancelled!! Also, stated that water and snacks would be provided. We got a single bottle of water and a couple of small snacks. Meals were not really thought of as part of the itinerary. No time for breakfast or dinner. Luckily we had a lovely lunch! The wine tasting wasn’t really a wine tasting…..people were simply offered half a glass of either of a specific red or white.

Sam was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. He showed us great places to see great recommendations of where to go next in Slovakia. He ensured we felt comfortable and safe all day. I have yet to have as good a guy as Sam in my solo travels. He is the reason I will be coming back to Slovakia and recommending this tour to friends. If I could give 10 stars I would so I will do it in emoji. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Zemri, was incredibly friendly and professional from start to finish. He was super punctual and managed the timing at every stop perfectly—we never felt rushed, but we also didn't waste any time. He gave really clear explanations for every spot we visited, and the sights were beautiful. The castle was definitely a highlight! We got water and snacks throughout the day, and when one of the group members wasn't feeling well, he was very caring and kept checking in to make sure they were okay. Great trip with a fantastic itinerary.

Really beautiful experience, beyond all expectations. Everything was impeccably organized: perfect times, well-designed stages and no stressful moments. You immediately perceive the attention to detail and the professionalism of the service, which makes the tour even more pleasant and relaxing, even if the day was long, because it is full of things to see. Special thanks go to the guide Michal, absolutely exceptional. Prepared, engaging and always available, he managed to turn the visit into more than just a tour: a real journey into the history and culture of the place. With his passion and sympathy he was able to capture everyone’s attention and make every moment interesting and pleasant. Beautiful landscapes, fantastic atmosphere and perfect company: everything really beautiful from start to finish. Highly recommended for those who want to live an authentic and well-organized experience!

Even though this trip was relatively expensive, I felt that it was worth it, with the guides bringing you to niche places that are hard to reach by public transport. Do note that the tour starts around 6.30am or so and ends 9.30pm or so. My tour guide was Rasto and I felt he did a very good job of orienting us on the tour.
