Throughout the day, you'll be guided by local Insider who knows the land, the stories, and the people behind them.
You'll discover the most emblematic D-Day sites as well as lesser-known places and favourite local spots — the kind you won’t find in guidebooks. Because Normandy is also a lot about food and terroir, expect several food tasting stops at intimate local producers along the way.
For lunch, you choose the vibe: a bistronomic meal, a chic picnic with a view, or a charming local restaurant .
As this experience is just for you and your crew, the time is taken to understand your interests and expectations which shapes the day around what matters most to you.

Colleville-sur-Mer
Take time to discover American Cemetery. Endless rows of white crosses overlooking the sea. A moving tribute to those who never came home.

My wife and I had a last minute opportunity to visit the UK and wanted to visit The Normandy beaches. Our US travel agent found us a Viator all day tour which fit into our limited timeframe. We were greeted by Liv on Monday morning at our hotel for our trip from Caen to Normandy. We allowed her flexibility in the days schedule which turned out to be above our expectations. Our stops included 3 beaches (British and 2 USA) including the US cemetery. She provided background on each location and allowed us time to roam on our own. We stopped for a great lunch at a beautiful garden hotel and had a wonderful time exchanging personal stories. We enjoyed hearing of Liv’s life behind the scenes. She has been to all 50 states in the US and we have 5 to go. Her English was very understandable without the French accent. She wrapped up our day with a cider and cheese tasting which was a perfect end to a somber day for us learning about D Day and the Allied efforts against the Germans. Liv gets a 5+ from our experience.

First visit to Normandy and the invasion beaches for me and my wife — this tour exceeded our every possible expectation. Mathieu was the perfect host, integrating D-Day with cultural/gastronomy stops along the way, a perfect blended experience. Riding in a vintage Range Rover an added benefit. The Normandy region is beautiful and peaceful — this trip made us want to return for more. We give this tour our highest possible recommendation!

What a fantastic way to explore Normandy and the D-Day landing beaches! Matthieu picked us up in a beautifully restored vintage Land Rover. It was spacious, comfortable, and full of charm. The tour offered the perfect balance between historical visits and delightful culinary stops: savoring oysters fresh from the producer, enjoying lunch in a stunning garden, and tasting cheese and cider atop a cliff with a breathtaking view. These breaks not only showcased the region’s flavors but also provided time to reflect and process the moving experiences of the beaches and cemeteries. Matthieu is an outstanding guide: knowledgeable, engaging, and generous in sharing his insights. This tour was truly memorable.

I absolutely loved the tour I took with Mathieu. From exploring breathtaking castles and walking along the stunning coastline to standing in the heart‑wrenching silence of the American Cemetery, every moment felt meaningful. Sharing fresh oysters and a beautiful picnic along the way made the day even more special. I left feeling deeply moved, humbled, and amazed. If you’re visiting Normandy, don’t miss this experience — it’s far more than a tour; it’s a profound journey through history, beauty, and humanity.

We celebrated a wedding anniversary with our 2 adult children in this way and it was a wonderful day off the beaten track. Mathieu was able to listen to us so that everyone’s interests were taken into account: the result was a very good mix of rediscovery of landing beaches and tasting stops (especially an excellent farmer’s cider) all in a large and comfortable vehicle. Recommended!

We took this excursion as a couple in July and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Normandy. The comfort of the Range Rover has made travelling very pleasant, especially in the middle of summer. Our guide was passionate and exciting – he made the D-Day story lively and accessible, with captivating anecdotes. The pace of the visit was perfect: poignant historical sites like Omaha Beach or the American cemetery, interspersed with gourmet breaks with tastings of local products (cheese, cider, etc.). A beautiful way to discover both the history and the flavors of the region. We highly recommend this experience to all couples (or small groups) who want to combine culture, emotion and taste bud pleasure!

We were very lucky to experience a private day tour in Normandy with Mathieu, and it was just unforgettable! The day began with a stylish ride in a Range Rover, which made the experience instantly special. Mathieu was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and provided us with exciting stories and Insider tips not found in any guidebook. His passion for the region was clearly noticeable and made the day even more enriching. What made this experience so special was the personal attention and flexibility to make the day according to our interests. Mathieu has taken a lot of time to understand our wishes and to tailor the day perfectly to us. I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover Normandy in an intimate, authentic and well-organized way. It was a really great experience I would book again anytime!
