What To Expect
Longji Rice Terraces
At 8:00 am your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby in central Guilin or Yangshuo and start heading toward the foot of the mountains where Longji Rice Terraces is located (approx. 2.5 hours). The rice terraces are built into the mountainsides like ribbons winding around from foot to top. Local villagers have been cultivating on these fields for generations since 600 years ago. Trek up the mountain among the fields while the stunning natural scenery and ethnic villages with their traditional houses feast your eyes. Admire the Longji Rice Terraces from the best viewing points: the Seven Stars with the Moon and the Nine Dragons and Five Tigers. Enjoy a Chinese style lunch at a local farmer's house, you'll have the chance to taste delicious local dishes, such as bamboo rice and other minority dishes. Witness one of the local custom for women to grow very long hair as long as 1 meter or longer. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel by 6:00 pm.

5.00This was an overall favorite tour in China for me snd my daughter. The scenery was gorgeous and everything was taken at a nice pace, which makes a big difference. Our tour guide Chase was excellent company, giving explanations, answering questions, but also letting us just have some space to take it all in. The lunch provided was at a local farmers house and was delicious. Everything about this tour was fantastic. I’d do it again! Chase paid excellent attention to our interests and then made special efforts to help us with them, such as taking us to a high quality but affordable pearl shop at the end of the day. We loved shopping here and were taught how to distinguish real pearls from fakes.

5.00Steven was a very knowledgeable guide. He’s extremely polite, patient and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed it! the scenery was beautiful, food was delicious!! We paid for the optional performance in Longji and really enjoyed it.

5.00We had a great time visiting these beautiful landscapes. The pick-up was on time, the group was small, 6 people. The car was pristine. And our guide, Jay, not only was he knowledgeable, but also he seemed very enthusiastic about nature and the area. He answered all our questions. The restaurant we had lunch was very nice, had a wonderful view, and the food was great. We had bamboo rice and pork filled mushrooms. We recommend this company and this tour to anyone who visit Guilin

2.00We stopped over at the ethnic minority village in Longji to watch a performance. It was a waste of time and money. Time would have been better spent walking up and exploring the rice Terrace.

5.00Touring the Longji Rice Terraces was the best thing we did in China. It was a beautiful day, the scenery was UN-REAL, and the meal in a local's house left us feeling like we were really a part of the culture. The tour guide (Jason) was EXCELLENT. He had the best English of anyone we met, and he was funny, knowledgable, and engaging. He even went above and beyond by helping us find a place to get our laundry done, which was surprisingly difficult. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but totally worth it. Can't recommend highly enough!

5.00My 1st China trip and it is such a memorable trip as well. Booked 3 days tour with trippest and worth each penny spend. Super friendly tour guide Mr.Chasen bring me to all the attractions and though the weather is rainy most of the time here but we manage to complete all the activities without any issues. Thanks to him. Not forgetting the pretty sweet girl Tracy Tang she helped me on the booking. It was very fast without any hassle. Thanks to her as well. Guilin and trippest tour service love you guys! ❤️ P/S: pls request Chasen to be your tour guide. His knowledge on the city and language command is very good.

5.00We had an amazing visit to the Longji Rice Terrances thanks to China Highlights and our tour guide Linda. Linda spoke great English, she told us lots of interesting information, not just about our tour but about the Chinese culture in general. She was very professional and easygoing. She took tons of pictures for us (she's pretty much a professional photographer haha) The tour itself was great, left our Hotel around 830 and arrived back around 530. We booked a mini group but it ended up just being my fiancé and myself. We did lots of walking, seen lots of great scenery and met lots of great people. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Chinese culture and great scenery. Thanks Linda and China Highlights

5.00I had a great tour of the rice terraces with my guide Gary. He was very respectful and accommodating of my needs through out the tour. He picked me up at my Yangshou hotel and then went out of the way to drop me off at the Guilin airport at the end of the tour. I highly recommend Gary and this tour for a wonderful visit to of the beautiful Rice Terraces.

4.00I had the most delightful day with the 'Spectacular Sunny' as a guide. As I was travelling solo we spent the day in her own private car exploring the Guilin Longji Rice Terraces and visited the stunning Huangluo Yao Village to meet with the 'long hair ladies' to learn about the local traditions. The show they put on was amazing. The visit to the Guilin Longji Rice Terraces was mind blowing - such a vast landscape beautifully laid out fields with very easy walking trails through them. The actual village itself was quite steep and winding but the view at the top of the village was definitely worth it. I had such a good day with Sunny and enjoyed myself immensely that I'm pretty sure I fell asleep in her car on the way back to my hotel. 5 stars tour and service from Sunny
