I went into this day quite nervous about safety, as other rafting companies had cancelled due to high water levels. I’ve done white‑water kayaking on the White Nile (up to grade 4), so I have some appreciation for what can go wrong. In the end, I was really impressed with how safely the day was run. The team deliberately chose safer lines and alternative routes through the rapids, avoiding the most intense features that were too big at this water level. That meant we could still experience proper Zambezi white water, but at a level that felt well within our risk tolerance. My girlfriend, who is much less experienced and usually more nervous, felt safe which says a lot, given other operators weren't running trips due to igh water levels. It ended up being something we could enjoy together without it feeling like we were pushing our luck. The whole operation was very well organised from start to finish. There was a full crew helping everyone in and out of the gorge, a dedicated safety kayaker on the water, and a photographer capturing the action. Everything felt professional and slick. Before getting on the river they gave a thorough safety briefing: how to sit and paddle, what to do if you fall out, how to help someone back into the raft, what happens if the raft flips, and what swimming positions to use in different situations. In the end we didn’t need any of that, but hearing it clearly up front was reassuring. I also really appreciated that this is a Zambian owned company. I met the owner and he’s a very down‑to‑earth, relaxed, friendly guy. All the staff we met were Zambian, and on the long drive back we passed through the local villages where many of the guides were born. It felt good to know that our money was supporting local communities and families, and that the next generation of guides and staff is likely to come from these same villages. On top of all that, the guides made the day genuinely fun – chanting while we paddled, keeping the energy high, and checking in regularly to make sure everyone was still comfortable and happy. The scenery in the gorge is absolutely stunning and the whole experience was a highlight of our Victoria Falls/Livingstone trip. Highly recommended if you want a properly adventurous day on the Zambezi that is run in a very safe, professional and locally owned way.

I was booked to be picked up for the Chobe tour and no one arrived… apparently the driver picked up everyone else and just forgot about me! This was the last day of my birthday trip and the only activity I had booked for the day, what a disappointment. The company also could not offer any explanation as to why I was just “forgotten “ after paying and confirming weeks in advance which is extremely unprofessional. Very disappointing!

An experience of a lifetime. Enoch made booking the trip easy from start to finish. We saw many animals up close. A safari experience on land then water! And the lunch was first class. Was perfect as a family trip. The guide was so knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable

Great rafting tour on the Zambezi. We had booked half a day and will come back for the 2-day tour. The guides are very experienced and have known the river for many years. Nevertheless, a ‘flip’ can occur (our second boat caught it, for example). Two things were annoying: we booked a tour through GetYourGuide that starts at the Victoria Falls, but then we got a tour that started in Zambia. That was disappointing as our son had not seen Vic Falls and we already flew on the next Tg. Also, due to the unarranged start in Zambia we had to buy a new visa for re-entry to Zimbabwe 90$ for three people), if we had known this before, we would have chosen a cheap re-entry visa directly. Nevertheless, I would book there again at any time

These guys are amazing.we had such a great day with them.excellent guides and felt safe the whole time. We were very well looked after. The rafting was as good as I’ve ever done. A bit of a climb up the bank at the end but everyone managed it ok, even us oldies. Definitely deserve their 5 * rating. Thx James,Andrew, Sergius and the gang. Our best day yet.

After some back and forth emailing, we were able finalize logistics the day prior to our tour. Million picked us up on time and safely drove us to the border with Botswana. After a quick immigration stop, Joe then took us to Botswana immigration. This also went quick and from there we were on our jeep headed for Chobe. Kaseman was our tour guide all day and he was absolutely spectacular. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the animals and took us on both the jeep and boat tours. He knew all the different mammals and birds on both tours.

We went on the full day Chobe safari and river tour and loved it! The tour started with a 3+ hour safari into the wilds of Chobe National Park in Botswana. We saw lions from 7 feet away as well as hippos, giraffe, zebra, Cape buffalo, elephants, impala, kudu, water buck, fish eagles, a water monitor, and much more. After a buffet lunch, we went on a 3+ hour fast boat on the Chobe River, and saw a great number of hippos up close, including in the water, out of the water, and a baby only a few days old, Cape buffalo, crocs, etc. What a well-run tour of a beautiful park!

A great day if you pass by Vic Falls. The day allows you to see all the animals! However a bit expensive for a family of 4

We did our fair share of safaris, but this was fantastic! Maano Adventures picked us up at our hotel in Vic Falls at 6AM. The one-hour drive was comfortable, and we enjoyed the conversation with Enock and our driver, Webster. After crossing the border into Botswana, we were met by Maano Adventures’ safari partner. CK was our guide for the morning, and we thoroughly enjoyed his energetic personality and lively commentary! We spent the morning driving in an open safari vehicle as a group of 7 people and started out with a very cute show by two badgers! We saw tons of elephants including some babies, giraffes, impalas, kudus, and lots more. CK was in constant communication with the other guides and after being notified rushed us over to a pack of 12+ lions feasting on a buffalo they had just hunted. The videos we got of the lions playing are incredible! We continued and saw some Cape buffalo, hippos and a loner lion that walked right next to the vehicle for several minutes. For lunch we went to a stunning lodge for a top notch buffet. The seafood stew was delicious! We spent the afternoon cruising the Chobe River with Captain Cherry and had a once in a lifetime experience watching a large herd of male elephants crossing the river! They put on a spectacular show bathing and swimming until you could only see the tip of their trunks above the water. We also saw various sizes of crocodiles and more hippos. Enock (Maano Adventures) accompanied us and made sure we were a very small group (5 people) for the best picture opportunities. Drinks were provided for both morning and afternoon and we also took our own cooler with some adult beverages. Wear layers as mornings are cool but during the day it gets warm. It was a long day, but our hearts were full, and we had over a thousand pictures and videos to treasure forever! I can’t recommend Maano Adventures enough! They are a small locally owned company and from the first time I spoke to Enock while still back in the States the service was 5-star! We booked both the half day whitewater rafting and the Chobe day trip with Enock and both exceeded every possible expectation we had! We can’t wait until next time and will most definitely book with Maano Adventures again!
