What To Expect
Marrakech
Meet and pick up at 9am depart towards the direction of Imlil Valley Atlas Mountains, On our way, we will pass through the town of Tahnaout at Berber Village where we can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and just to learn how the woman of the co-operative turns the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for. We will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited.
Arrive at Imlil Valley 1700m in the Atlas Mountains, meet your local guide at the centre of imlil, share a glass of mint tea at the roof terrace enjoying the panoramic views over the Atlas Mountains & Berber villages, Briefing about the day and start the walk up to reach The highest village in the valley which is armed above 1800m, between the Imlil Valley and tamatert valley, walking through wawfraft Forest, quick break at the pass and continue up to Mizane Valley above 2000m, enjoying the stunning views over the Valleys and peaks unforgettable moment at the mountains taking some pictures while your guide explaining about the Atlas Mountains, valleys names, Berber lifestyle, and the Atlas history. Walking down with the different track to visit the beautiful waterfalls, Stop for lunch in Berber village, After lunch walk down for a short walk to the village, meet the driver again to get back to marrakech, 2 to 3h walking + 1h30 Drive,

5.00Amazing tour through the Atlas Mountains. The guide was amazing and so hospitable taking us in to his home to have an authentic Moroccan meal. Would 100% recommend, especially if you are looking for a short break out of the business of Marrakesh

5.00This was absolutely outstanding! Jamal was an excellent guide. He was incredibly nice and provided a very knowledgeable and safe hike around the mountains. The hike provides stunning a views and with fairly manageable climb and moderate (difficulty) decent. The hike to the waterfalls was easier, and also shorter - with a nice opportunity for pictures outside the falls. Jamal, and his wife, provided incredible hospitality, including some lovely tea, as well as a wonderful home-made, traditional Moroccan lunch. I would 100% recommend Jamal and his team for a beautiful tour of the Atlas Mountains.

5.00Our family of five had a superb day in the Atlas Mountains with Jamal, Abdul and the rest of the team at Atlas Mtn Trekking. Superbly organised and efficient, we were collected from our riad in Marrakesh and driven to Imlil where our day hike commenced. Abdul expertly led us up summits, along valley floors, treating us to vistas the entire way. A sumptuous hot lunch was served on a steppe with the snow covered mountains providing a backdrop. We finished the hike with a visit to a waterfall before returning to Imlil and our drive back to Marrakesh. Wonderful day in the mtns and great way to get a taster for that part of Morocco. Highly recommend!

5.00The whole trip was amazing! Yusef, our lovely driver arrived bang on time to collect us from our hotel and we set off out of Marrakech. We had a photo stop en route with gorgeous views of the mountains and a very short stop to see ladies making Argan oil with no pressure to purchase anything. Not long after we had a tea stop and met up with our guide, Rashid. We then set off on an awesome hike through Berber settlements with fabulous views and Rashid was friendly, informative and fun. We had lunch at a Berber house and it was the tastiest tagine we had all week! We can highly recommend this trip in every way and can't wait to return one day for a longer trek!

5.00Jamal was responsive and helpful over email before we booked the trip and helped with all queries we had. During the trip he was brilliant, knowledgable, patient with teenagers and the actual trek was fantastic. The mountains are stunning, it was a real highlight of our trip to Morocco. The lunch was delicious too and his whole family were lovely. We finished with a camel ride which everyone loved :) Highly recommend.

5.00Amazing trip. Organised by Jamal, communication was quick and easy from booking to getting collected right outside our accommodation. We were driven to Imlil by Yousef where we met Jamal and Mohammed who then took us on the hike. Mohammed was friendly and professional, making sure we were happy at all times. Couldn’t recommend more!

5.00We had such an enjoyable day hiking through the Atlas Mountains and up to the Tizi Mzik summit. Our guide Mohammad was fantastic, very knowledgeable and looked after us well. We had a wonderful lunch too. The perfect day trip with family.
