Built to a twin pinnacled spur, about 250 feet high, jutting out a thousand foot rock wall, “solid as the rock of Peter” the building of the Chapel was completed in April, 1956.
Cathedral Rock
Cathedral Rock is a striking red‑sandstone butte just southwest of Sedona, Arizona. With a summit elevation of about 4,967 ft, it’s one of the most photographed geological features in the region, formed from Permian‑age Schnebly Hill sandstone
