Here are few items you may need to make your time on the excursion the best of all: closed comfortable shoes (sneakers), sportswear, In case of rain raincoat or an umbrella. After summer time we recommend to bring also a warm sweater or jacket.

What To Expect
Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice are known as a natural phenomenon because they keep changing through sedimentation of calcium carbonate and create special kinds of algae and moss, tufa or travertine which has been deposited and is still deposited to form the natural dams that separate the lakes. Since the process is ongoing today, just as it always has, new travertine barriers, curtains, stalactites, channels, and cascades are built as the existing ones keep changing. So it doesn’t matter if you have visited the lakes before, they probably look different now, so you can visit them again and never be bored. Besides the lakes, there are some interesting caves in which remains of prehistoric settlements have been found.

5.00Very well timed on way to and from park. Guide very helpful but also allowed freedom to just enjoy park. Recommend decent walking/tennis shoes! The waterfalls were amazing and the park absolutely gorgeous!

5.00My mother and I had participated in the guided tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park on June 16. Our conclusion: very well organized hike with a cleverly thought-out route planning. Our attentive guide Richard (Ivan) always had both the group as a whole and the individual members in mind and made sure that no one was left behind. He provided the group with interesting information about the flora and fauna of the national park as well as the geographical and climatic conditions of the region. In addition, Richard (Ivan) had further tips on the gastronomic offer in Split and Trogir ready, which we immediately took advantage of. He is definitely in good hands in this profession!

5.00This experience is well worth the price for the impeccably kept coach that takes you to and from the Lakes and the welcoming, informative guide (I had Sanja) who takes you through the most amazing National Park that I have ever seen. The waterfalls and lakes are absolutely breathtaking and worth the 3 1/2 hr travel to and from.
