We will cruise around Lan Ha Bay, stopping at many beautiful areas where you have many wonderful and safe routes. The grade from 4a- 7b+. We will climb when the high tide and cruise and kayak when the low tide.
We will kayak through around the beautiful limestone islands and floating fishing village or swimming in the bay if you want to take a rest after climbing.
Our guide who is English speaking local guide. He will be your partner and help you easily find and reach the routes. He also helps you to discover the bay, kayaking.

What To Expect
Depart: 8.00. Return: 17.30 8.00: Depart from our head office in Cat Ba town. Take a boat, cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes, floating fishing village. Stopping at many beautiful areas where you have many wonderful and safe routes. The first location is called Hòn Tay Kéo, our local guide who speaks good English will inform you of some useful tips about the tide details, the jumping, landing techniques & the climbing routes. At first, you'll start by easy routes to get you familiarise with the height as well as initial techniques before you advance onto next levels. There are more than 10 routes for both beginners and experienced climbers. After, we will move to the harder location called Three Brothers where there are over 15 routes of different levels the graded from 5a - 7c+. 12.00 Have lunch on the boat. 13.00 Keep cruising to visit Dầu Bê Island, a small part of Ha Long Bay. We will climb at Le Mekong. Climbing routes here are harder from 5a-7c, most of them are overhang. You also can climb here when the tide is low. 15.30: We will go kayaking to discover Hồ Ba Hầm (3 hidden lagoons) if the tide that day is low enough. Return to Cat Ba Town at 5.30pm.

5.00This was the perfect day out, the best of our vacation! Ninh was an amazing guide. He was so conscientious and structured the day exactly how we wanted. And while we were swimming, he spent that time cleaning trash from the beach. He clearly cares about this place and is excited to share it. I would highly recommend anyone staying in cat ba to use cat ba adventures. I also think it is worth coming to the island rather than doing one of the ha long cruises that leaves from Hanoi. It is so lovely here, and not as crowded as it sounds like a lot of the ha long cruises are. Also, for anyone thinking about deep water soloing, I thought this was the perfect day. The tides would make it difficult to spend the whole day climbing, so spending half the day kayaking and swimming was perfect. I would choose this over any other company that does full-day climbing.

5.00Kai is an amazing guide, been doing it for 30 years, showing us amazing climbs. We had a private boat with a great crew as well- 3 standout meals. Kai will push you while making sure you’re safe.

5.00Super fun day! Our tour guide Ninh was awesome, he took us kayaking through some caves at low tide. At high tide we went to the dws walls a climbed! Ninh brought liquid and dry chalk for us, however the rock is sharp so I would recommend bringing some climbing tape in case you get any scrapes.

5.00Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It’s Ninh, the best damn guide in the North of Vietnam. This man is everything I’ve ever wanted and more, there’s a shockingly short list of things I wouldn’t trust Ninh to do. Take my girlfriend to dinner (if I had one)? Done. Watch my children (if I had any)? Done. HOLD A CHAIR STEADY ON A MOVING BOAT AS I PULL ONTO A ROCK I HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING ON???? DONE. Ninh deserves a vacation, a raise, and a preemptive pardon from Donald Trump himself after that tour. I didn’t see a single other tourist all day, saw the most amazing places I may ever witness, and had an absolute blast climbing all over the bay. Our group climbs pretty hard and we were worried we were going to be stuck climbing 5.9 all day, fear not, Ninh let me entertain my fantasy that I climb V9 and guided me to some much harder rock. He knew when to share interesting information, and when to let us soak up the views. 5/5 stars, 10/10 big booms, would book again in a heartbeat. Obsessed? perhaps.

5.00We went for a full day kayaking and deep water solo tour on 14/5/25. Pick up from out hotel and transport to the boat was smooth. Weather was beautiful, Lan Ha Bay was stunning! Our guide Ninh was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the geography and history of Cat Ba, Lan Ha Bay, and Ha Long Bay. He was an expert at guiding us through caves on our kayaks. He was very helpful with pointing out and choosing climbs for DWS. We felt very comfortable and safe throughout the experience. The operator, Cat Ba Ventures, gave us a smooth, safe, exciting experience. I can definitely recommend asking for Ninh as a guide as he is knowledgeable, personable, and professional!

5.00This tour was amazing was just myself and brother so we could spend as much time in a lactation as we pleased. They catered for both our ability’s as climbers which was great. Our guide Ninh was amazing and very helpful and full of knowledge. The hotel provided us with delicious food and the boat driver was also very lovely too. Had a great day and highly recommend it

5.00Deep water soloing with Cat Ba Ventures was such a unique and fun-filled adventure. Especially with how knowledgeable and personable our tour guide Tuan (or Tony) was. Learning about some of the history of Lan Ha bay, the changing tides, and all sorts of other fun facts was especially intriguing. The climbing was also incredible, the limestone in the bay forms such unique holds. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

5.00Very professional group and the tour guide Tom Cruise was very informative and friendly and eager to help. It was a boat trip and kayaking. Our guide picked the best time to do the kayaking so it wasn’t too busy for us. A delicious and big Lunch was provided. It included prawns, octopus, fried fish and many other dishes. They also provide delicious pineapple and bananas in the afternoon.The tour provides a large bottle of water each. You can also purchase drinks and beer from the boat crew. It was December but the water temperature was very comfortable to swim. Towels are provided. We visited a floating fishing community, our guy Tom Cruise was really informative and answered all our questions. It was great to see how people lived on these floating villages. We would highly recommend this company.
