What To Expect
Hippodrome
The Hippodrome of Constantinople was a circus that was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire. Today it is a square named Sultanahmet Meydanı in the Turkish city of Istanbul, with a few fragments of the original structure surviving.
German Fountain
The German Fountain is a gazebo styled fountain in the northern end of old hippodrome, Istanbul, Turkey and across from the Mausoleum of Sultan Ahmed I. It was constructed to commemorate the second anniversary of German Emperor Wilhelm II's visit to Istanbul in 1898.

5.00Thank you for a memorable day! Our guide Fatih was very passionate about Istanbul and knowledgeable about its history. He conveyed the information in a very pleasant way which made the trip entertaining for us. After the official part of the tour, he even took us to the Süleymaniye Mosque, from where we had a great view towards Galata! Highly recommended!

5.00Yunus from Bosphorus Tour Istanbul is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the city. I would go to the extent of stating that he is a walking encyclopedia! Just be prepared to walk a lot during the tour.

5.00I enjoyed your walking tour sooo much. Thanks to the cold season, tourists in this tour that day were luckily just two of us, so it was like a private tour. We could eat delicious lunch, and see a lot of historical places. And the guide Yunus was not just (really) knowledgeable, but also gentle and funny! He made our tour an amazing one. I also joined the cruise tour after the walking tour (I hadn’t planned it, but decided to join it on the spur of the moment !), which was so nice as well. During the cruise, we could enjoy some snacks, sweets, and fruits with lovely Chai tea! Overall, it was really good. I totally recommend these tours if you want to enjoy there.

Our guide Yunus had such a wealth of knowledge on everything and was very kind and friendly. We would highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to see Instanbul’s top sights in an 8 hour day.
