What To Expect

Paracas

After an approximately 4-hour drive from Lima, you will arrive at Paracas, a picturesque fishing port and starting point to explore the southern coast of Peru. Upon arrival, you will have free time to enjoy a seafront breakfast and prepare for the maritime adventure. Afterwards, you will board a speedboat to the Ballestas Islands. During this 2-hour tour of the Pacific Ocean, you’ll sail among stunning rock formations where you can closely observe a variety of glovebirds such as pelicans, boobies and tendrils, plus sea lions lounging on rocks and swimming around the boat. You can also see the charismatic Humboldt penguin, a protected species that lives in this area. Before you reach the islands, you will stop to admire the Paracas Candlestick, a huge geoglyph carved into the desert slope, visible only from the sea. An unforgettable experience for lovers of nature and marine life.

Culturpisco

After the excursion to the Ballestas Islands, we will continue to CulturPisco, a renowned artisan winery located in the heart of Ica. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by local guides who will explain in a clear and entertaining way the whole process of making pisco and wine, from grape harvest to distillation and aging. You’ll tour the traditional winery facilities, see the presses, stills and fermentation vessels, and learn why pisco is considered Peru’s flagship drink. Then, you will participate in a guided tasting, where you will taste different varieties of wines and piscos, discovering their aromas, notes and alcoholic strength. To finish this part of the tour, you will enjoy a typical regional lunch in the restaurant of the same place, surrounded by vineyards and with a relaxed atmosphere that completes the enogastronomic experience.
