This is just a great day. If you choose the elephants over the kayaking it's the same. Great guides, the best lunch I've had on any tour. And lots of remarkable things to see. Can't recommend it enough

The guides are awesome and you really couldn’t ask for a more comprehensive experience of the big sites surrounding Luang Prabang. You get a generous two hours at the falls, which I used to climb to the top and take a dip-highly recommend! Then there’s a lunch at an elephant camp, at which point you have the option of a slow boat to the Pak Ou caves or kayak-I did the kayak, which was beautiful. And then after all that, you get a sunset cruise. Amazing value for the money. Absolutely do it if you can.

I have to start by saying that the guide, Mr. Thin, was superb. He was courteous, professional, and organized. Some of the activities were physically challenging for older individuals. Mr. Thin gave accurate and reliable information for everyone to make an informed decision. (This is not to say that one should avoid this tour if they have mobily problems, most of the activities are easily accomplished.) The tour itself is a must do when in Laos. It combines the historical, cultural, and natural highlights of the country. It was the highlight of my five days in Laos.

This tour calls for a lot of time in the car to do both things in one day, but I really think it’s such a great way to see both of these landmarks. We got to paddle down a peaceful tributary into the Mekong, which is still quite calm, and across it to the Pak Ou caves. Temperatures were low and the sun not to strong in the morning, so it was a great time to be out. The guide put quite a lot of trust in us with the boats, and wet bags and life jackets were provided. We ended at the shore where we had left our things in the first place, and a buffet lunch was served over the river. An elephant walking around the property was the biggest surprise of that time! After a peaceful lunch and coffee, we were back in the car to drive back through the city to the waterfalls and ended up reaching the entrance around 3:45. There were definitely some crowds, but by the time we were leaving, we practically had the place to ourselves, which was such a nice way to end the day. Throughout it all, our guide was helpful and patient. When the ac in one car didn’t work well, they switched us to another. Great job, Manifa!

The kayaking was so fun and in such a beautiful area! The lunch was the best meal I've had in my 5 weeks of travel! And the waterfall was stunning. Such a fun tour!

This is a generous 3 stars. Logistics: 40-50% of this tour time is a van, either waiting or driving. Be aware 4+ hours of sitting in a van. This tour is also set up as transit logistics for people going out from LP to an elephant farm camp. Our outbound van was stuffed to the brim with luggage and 12 passengers. The two components of the tour are in totally opposite directions from the city, so it’s 1:15 outbound (with waiting for others), then 2 hours from the camp to the waterfall (including dropping people off back in the city) and about an hour from the waterfall back to the city. Tour: Kayaking was beautiful but felt like lots of waiting around and a little confusing since people were going all over. Many in the van were going to the elephant camp, where we started. Beautiful scenery and peaceful river. Our guide was friendly and helpful. Stopped mid kayak at the caves, walked around, then continued kayaking back to elephant camp. There were a total for 4 of us plus the guide - so it was a small group as advertised. Upon returning back to the camp we had lunch (the same buffet lunch for everyone at the camp). We thought we’d be leaving shortly after but found out we were at the camp for about 1:30 mins hanging around waiting for transport to the waterfalls. Overall people nice. Buffet fine and plentiful for a tour group setup but nothing exceptional. Drive to waterfall was long and unpleasant. We were in the back of a 15 passenger van that was totally full. Mid-way the van stopped in LP to drop off the “half day tour people” and we continued on. In total the drive was just shy of 2 hours for this leg. Waterfall a must do in LP. Filled with tourists in the afternoon and we spent about 90 mins here. Helpful with logistics to get in, go up, etc but no aspect of this part is a tour. The “guide” gets your ticket - you go in and walk around and relax on your own - then meet at the exit at defined time to drive back. Overall: I would do both again but separately. I would recommend the tour company position itself as transit and logistics - and be clear that you are being shuttled around with lots of people for other activities.

This was a great adventure. The kayaking was wonderful. Our first guide, Can, was very knowledgeable and showed a keen interest in sharing the importance of the history of the local culture and was very willing to answer all questions. Kayaking to the caves was special. A perfect amount of time was allotted to view the caves and then we were off to have a wonderful buffet lunch. It was quite good. After spending a little time with the resident elephant, we were off to visit the waterfalls. Our guide for that segment, Ton, was very good and guided us with his expertise. The area of the waterfalls is very lush and beautiful. It was a great day to spend enjoying nature and learning about the area.

A cheap and varied tour. An excellent opportunity to casually enjoy the river and the morning, particularly, was relaxed and aesthetically pleasing. The included lunch was absolutely fantastic. With drinks and icecream included, it was a delicious and substantial meal. The afternoon drive to the Hmong village and waterfall was long and unpleasant, but the vehicle was comfortable and air conditioned and one cannot escape a rough road occasionally. The Hmong village experience was far too quick! My partner and I would have liked to have been able to stop and talk with the villagers and look at their wares. The waterfalls were gorgeous, and we wished we had prepared beforehand to swim and that would have been spectacular. All up, well done Thin! It was a great day out!

We had a great experience. The guide was polite and friendly. He spoke well and guided us throughout. The lunch buffet was fantastic. Everything was made fresh and at live counters with a view of roaming elephants. When had to leave early because of our train and the guide helped us reach timely by arranging taxi with other group, without him we couldn’t have reached on time. Boat ride was spectacular too. We lived every second of our journey and thank the providers. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
