We had an incredible day with Edvard. We met him in the food market in Pula, along with another couple, and we shopped around to locate all the ingredients for the meal we would later prepare. Then we drove to a location about 25 minutes away, a home surrounded by countryside and olive trees and other produce. And in a quasi indoor/outdoor kitchen we slowly prepared a delicious meal consisting of several courses. The whole day was incredibly related and we felt like we were hanging out with a good friend we had know for years. Between sipping wine and prepping and cooking the various dishes we made, and talking and laughing, the time breezed by. My husband is a talented cook and he was so glad to have learned a number of things from the day that he is eager to put to use back home. All in all it was a marvelous experience.
