You will be pick up from your central Amman hotel to explore the rose-colored city of Petra by joining a small group, settle into your air-conditioned comfortable vehicle with your driver, who doubles as your guide on your journey to and from Petra, UNESCO – listed Heritage and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Experience Jordan’s greatest ancient treasure on this day trip to Petra from Amman. After traveling from Amman to Petra with an English-Speaking Driver, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of UNESCO-listed Petra: a rock city cut into a sandstone valley 2,000 years ago. Walk towards the “Siq” entrance canyon, and behold the rose-tinted Treasury, visit the Royal Tombs, the Theater, and more sites like the Byzantine Church. During your explorations, learning about Petra’s history from your local guide continue to see lesser-known Little Petra, whose sculpted rock buildings were a suburb of the main city.

What To Expect
Petra - Wadi Musa
You will leave the hotel early in the morning to Join a small group to drive south to the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, for a classic visit. As you travel, gaze at the desert landscapes and hear tales of Jordan’s history. Hewn into a sandstone valley carved by the Nabataean people more than 2,000 years ago, this ancient rose-red rock city located 245 kilometers from Amman at the crossroads of age-old trading routes, to dominate ancient Arabia. Reach Petra main site to learn more about its magnificent history. On arrival, leave your vehicle, and enjoy a 2-hour tour of this UNESCO Heritage listed wonder with a local guide.
Siq
First, walk through the famous “Siq”, a narrow path of 1.2 kilometers; rock fissure that was once the main entrance to the city, and marvel at your first glimpse of the hauntingly beautiful Treasury “Al - Khazneh”

We reached out to Zaid Tours and Travel alongwith few other travel companies but boy, how professional and responsive these people were! Right from the first response they were very clear and transparent about their process, guided us very professionally and made our trip highly enjoyable. Sammy Keyani was there to welcome us at the airport and from the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands. His English was good, he was very knowledgeable and extremely respectful with the family. We highly recommend you asking for Sammy, you won’t regret it.

5.00Our driver, Khaled, was very punctual. He gave us some tips to tour Petra and contacted us with our guide who speaks Spanish, and who explained many things. Khaled was very friendly and patient with us, Soliman good guide. We do not feel safe at all times

5.00What an excellent day! Basel picked me up from my hotel from 7am and we arrived at Petra at 10:45. Basel spoke perfect english and was an incredibly safe driver! He was also very knowledgable about Jordan. While at Petra, I had a great time and was able to make it up to the monastery. Tour guide was great as well. I returned to Basel’s car 1 hour late and Basel had no problem with this. We went straight back to my hotel after. Highly recommend this tour/driver for anyone who wants to visit Petra. Ask for Basel!

5.00We had 12 hours of connecting time in Amman and decided to take a tour and visit Petra. Our driver Amer was waiting for us at the airport and texted me before we even left the airplane. The three hours drive to Patra was very enjoyable with Amer, but the return was even better. We spent the time talking about movies and music. What a knowledgeable person! In Petra, we had time enough to visit the main locations and enjoy that beautiful place. Looking forward to coming back with more time and spending some time getting to visit Amman with Amer.

5.00Mr Hasan from Zaid Tours was our driver and guide during our 3 days in Jordan. He speaks very good English and is very friendly. He was incredibly responsive from the start of our stay and reviewed our itinerary and made suggestions we welcomed (so happy we did). Hasan sure we experienced as many wonderful sites as possible in Jordan. He recommended us to the local food and even treated us to a cup of coffee on an early morning pick up. He brought us to shops with of quality with local prices. He went above and beyond at every chance and we truly are grateful to have had this experience with him. Hasan is very responsible and reliable, he truly touched our hearts with his care and hospitality. We highly recommend him.
