Fantastic excursion from start to end. Our driver and guide, Tony was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much interesting information about the country and all that we saw. Every stop was well planned and we were able to take in all the highlights and points of interest around the lake. Tony was very flexible around what we wanted to do. One of the highlights for us was the boat trip with Nikola at the springs next to Naum Monastery which was an optional extra, and well worth it. We were never rushed, and had a really lovely day out. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Booked this tour online in advance of our first trip to North Macedonia as wanted to see it all and have a local guide. Our guide/driver was Toni who was amazing - very knowledgeable, great English and made us feel very welcome and tailored the tour according to what we wanted to see and experience. We loved the scenery around the lake but hearing all about the extensive and largely unknown history of North Macedonia was fascinating. The Bay of Bones museum was undergoing some renovations, due to recent government changes/funding, so will only improve. We still got to experience the main exhibit and get an explanation of the structure and how they found it etc St Naums Monastery was set in beautiful surroundings and there were lots of people visiting via the regular boats from Ohrid town. Whilst there are café's and small shops, this does not detract from the serenity and beauty of the monastery. Without a guide, so much of the detail of the monastery would not have been known to us and was much appreciated. We had a short visit to the lakeside in Pogradec, Albania - short, as we had spent so much time (by choice) at the earlier places. We then stopped for a late lunch in a road/lakeside restaurant in Albania - whilst language was a slight issue we enjoyed a lovely meal. Crossing the border took a little while, the checks for us didn't take long but there were many cars wanting to cross. Its a factor to consider but was just part of the experience. We highly recommend this tour - its long but you get to hear and see so much about North Macedonia and its super friendly people, thank you Toni for a memorable trip

Since 7 out of 9 pictures include a boat and only images of water, we expected the tour to at least be partially on the water. We spent the only sunny day we had in Ohrid traveling in a car. There were two of us on the tour, and most of it I felt excluded with the guide only talking and even sharing images on phone with my friend. Never, anywhere in the world on such tours have I experienced feeling excluded. I felt it was because of my comments expecting a boat somewhere. I did get a call from tour operator promising to change ad photos so others would not be mislead, and was told we’d get partial reimbursement, neither happened. The visit to Albania was the best part.

Full day tour by car around the lake! Stops in several key sights and small towns. If you have one day to see this area, this tour is a great option. Tour guide was perfectly fluent in English and shared tons of detailed info. Since it's a private tour it would be cool if you had some choices since there is so much to do. Overall really recommend though.

Driver and guide Goran was very good. Turns out he has a German drivers license so kudos to the company for hiring such a good driver. We stopped at three places in Albania. A beautiful spot for coffee looking out on the water, a town to walk around and do a little bit of shopping, and a third place that was absolutely gorgeous for lunch. The restaurant was right on the water. You do two border crossings, one in Albania and one back into Macedonia. As other of you are so said, there is no walking tour of Ohrid. But The tour was great because you got to see the monastery and bay of bones. And Albania. My son is excited to take Albanian money out of the ATM. Check with your guide, most places except Macedonian money and not all will except a credit card.

We had a fabulous day driving around the lake and visiting interesting sites, nice lunch in albania and Tony, our guide, was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable so he made the tour come alive for us. Was also fun to go into Albania and see Ohrid from the other side of the lake.

Brilliant day. I’ve forgotten our guides name already (sorry, I think it was Vladimir) but he was fantastic. Answered every question, went into so much depth and, most importantly, was very patient with us with our two-year-old daughter. Everything was super. Thank you so much.

Great opportunity to see the Bay of Bones, St.Naum Monastery and Albania’s Lake Ohrid coast in one day. Igor was a wonderful guide and an expert on Macedonian history and culture. Great experience.
