Senhora da Rocha Chapel on top of a big cliff... this is a pearl placed in a rocky spot over the sea was once a fortress that was built to protect the fishing communities from the attacks of pirates. Next stop will be Silves. Land of Muslim princes and princesses, knights and ancient legends, get carried away by this enchanted region. A fascinating and unforgettable tour through the past, gastronomy and people of Silves. After lunch in Silves, it´s time to visit Carvoeiro. Carvoeiro is a picturesque gem that captivates visitors with its natural beauty and quaint charm. The first thing that strikes you about Carvoeiro is the dramatic coastline and crystal-clear turquoise waters, creating a breathtaking backdrop. For those who like to walk a little, there will be time for a wonderful walk of a few minutes along the rocks across a wooden walkway, between AlgarSeco and Carvoeiro, where two pearls of our coast are located.
Our last stop will be at Marinha Beach viewpoint.

5.00We had a fantastic tour, managing to see some old traditional streets and incredible views of the ocean and cliffs across approximately 5 hours. Johnny is a wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide, and ensured we felt comfortable and safe the entire time. He was very accommodating and tailored the program for what we were interested in, including some hidden gems like a pottery house. He’s exceptionally warm and it feels like you’re exploring with a friend. I would highly recommend Johnny to anyone travelling to Algarve for a great experience.

5.00What a great day we had with Johnny. this was our 4th tour with him - and we loved every one! being a great guide, he customized the tour based on our interests. He pays attention to his guests, getting to know them and it shows. While Silves was the main focus of the tour, the surprise visit to the spa village of Caldas de Monchique and our requested visit to the Porches Pottery were stand-outs. If you get the chance to tour with Johnny - Grab it quickly!

5.00We just spent 2 days exploring the Algarve with Johnny (Joao). What an unforgettable experience! The stunning cliffs, exploring Silves, a stop at Bordeira Beach Bar - that was unexpected but something Joao included because he knew once he met us we would love it, and we did! There was more eg Albufeira and a great local restaurant there. I could go on. He has it all so well planned but is not rigid. He "reads the room" and adjusts as he goes. Whilst he shared places, he also makes it interesting and brings in moments that make it so especially memorable. A perfect couple of days, with a perfect mix of great (not exhorbitant) restaurants, not overly touristy, and we will most certainly be back. Highly recommend you get in touch with Joao (aka Johnny).

5.00We spent two incredible days exploring the Algarve with Johnny (Joao). Every moment was unforgettable - from hiking the breathtaking cliff tops between Monte Clérigo and Arrifana to wandering the streets of Silves, lunching in Albufeira’s Old Town, and getting waylaid by drinking beers on the beach at Bordeira Beach. Nothing was too much for Johnny to the point where he reshaped the itinerary to allow us to soak up more of the real Portugal. His knowledge and history of Portugal coupled with his passion for his country and people and his easygoing humour made our time feel like we were exploring the Algarve with an old friend. If you want to experience the real Algarve and be able to explore some hidden local gems (with a real local gem), then explore what Johnny has to offer.

Simply put, it was the best tour I had ever been on, and apart from the amazing coastal sites and interesting history, it was hugely down to Johnny's uplifting persona, great sense of humour and fun demeanour towards everyone. Will definitely book another tour again with Johnny in the future, otherwise the amazing algarve region probably wouldn't feel the same.

5.00Jonny was an amazing tour guide. We organized two full day trips with Johnny on our family reunion trip. Our group included 15 people of various ages from elderly to a 5 year old. The people came from Poland and Canada with various levels of English knowledge but a healthy amount of curiosity about Portugal and its people and history. Johnny was full of knowledge, courteous and accomodating. He gave us a plethora of information about the country the people and the history. He has a great sense of humour and a gift of gab. Highly recommend him and his company for your next trip be it solo or large group!

He clearly and engagingly conveyed information about the people & locations we were visiting and was fantastic at keeping the group's attention. Johnny has an in depth knowledge about the places we were touring including history, culture. He was very interested to answer any of our questions. Johnny’s friendly demeanour & very approachable style offered a quick connected with our group, making the tour more enjoyable and memorable. Johnny’s flexibility & adaptability for our need to do a Sunday tour meant changing up his routine a bit. A lot of churches & museums were closed; but Johnny quickly adapted a day of touring that we thoroughly enjoyed. Johnny has a tremendous enthusiasm for the Algarve location in Portugal. 5.00My wife and I took a full-day tour with Johnny of the Central and Western Algarve. It was fantastic! Johnny is very knowledgeable and passionate about Portuguese history and culture so you learn a great deal during his tour. He also takes you to many hidden gems to insure that you have a wonderful experience. Johnny is very caring and goes out of his way to insure that you have a safe, comfortable and pleasurable time. 5.00Johnny was such a great guide! Really attentive and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We were in Albufeira for 2 days and he took us on a private tour to Lagos, Silves and multiple beaches in between. He was very thorough in his tour with lots of fun facts throughout the day. Highly recommend a private tour because johnny was able to change our plans according to the weather to make sure we got the most out of our day. Definitely worth your time and money! Thanks Johnny!
