The Roarings Forties 8 days kayaking expedition into the South West Wilderness of Tasmania, Australia, is a once a lifetime experience. Flying into the wilderness area at Maleleuca gives you a first idea of the majestic region you will be in for the week. Stable double kayaks, good camping equipment and our two guides Rob and Cane took us on a circular route from Bathurst Harbour to the open seas around the Sea Breakers Islands, making the best of the weather conditions which can be very variable. After a good day's paddle we were presented with a glass of wine and a freshly cooked meal! You will need a certain level of fitness and a sense of adventure for this amazing trip but it is epic, and I thank Roarings Forties for this wonderful and beautiful experience!
