  The tour promised us an English speaking guide. He spoke very limited English. The driver actually spoke better English than the young man who was our guide. He was clearly very inexperienced as a guide and didn’t tell us any history of the places we were seeing or Tajikistan in general. This was our first day in Dushanbe and we expected an overview with some explanations of what we were seeing along with a bit of history about the country. The guide did his job by staying with us and walking us around, but without any conversation. He was polite, pleasant and professional, just very inexperienced. We saw other private tours with their guides who were conversing and giving information to their clients. If we asked questions our guide and driver tried to answer them. This is why I gave the tour a low review. For the cost of the tour and length of the tour we should have had a more experienced guide for the day. I would not recommend this tour without a guide who could be more of a leader and tell us more.

  Our guide (Sher) and the driver (Natali) were both excellent over the two days they cared for us in Dushanbe and Norak Dam. As an older couple, they were understanding of our capabilities and needs. Sher was able to tell us many interesting things about Dushanbe & Tajikistan, and answer our questions. He was very good indeed. The car and driver were great. Air conditioned, most comfortable and safe driving. Both men were hospitable and most pleasant to be with. Thoroughly enjoyed their company. We felt safe and well cared for. Their names in English on badges would be helpful. We highly recommend your two tours. Thank you.
