I had guide Josue who was excellent. I booked onto normal group tour but was only one so had solo tour. Picked up at hotel at 09:00 and dropped back around 15:15. I had message in the viator app which hadn’t notified me there was a message that time had changed from 08:30 to 09:00 so go into app to check. Josue swapped the order of the activities to make the best of the weather which was nice. I would have liked to pay a little extra for the tour for them to cover the admission. I don’t like rummaged for small change and I can imagine this a bit time consuming for bigger groups. I may be worth the company doing this as a price option. Keep original and have a admission included option. Admission were quite cheep. $2&6 for churches, $9 for cable car and $5 for equator (plus tip for equator tour and of course our guide). I got a little altitude sickness on top of the cable car mountain so if you have multiple days in Quito it would be better to leave to your last day.

Traveling with David of Ecuadorian Tour Guides was exactly what we wanted... A complete review of the many beautiful facets of Quito. David provided a full history of the people, culture and highlights of Quito including a thorough walking tour of Old Town and how it is the political hub of Ecuador with the President's,Goverment Offices within walking distance of the main square. Their Pentagon is across the street from the President's Office. Another highlight was the Iglesia de la Compania Church which is amazing as it is totally gold plated. My favorites were the relationship of God to his son on the High Altar, the decorative confessionals and my most favorite was a massive painting by Salas on the right entrance of Hell where those incarcerated were named for the sins against humanity including Injustus (Injustice)... Probably my first most favorite was the Statue of the Virgin of Panecillo overlooking Quito chaining a monstrous snake at her feet controlling good over evil. I could tell you more about the El Telferico Sky Tram taking your from 9 to 13,000 feet with fantastic views of Quito or standing on the exact Ecuatorial Line at the Intinan Equator Museum but the best thing for you to do is go yourself!
