  I have been hiking in Cape Verde (and around the world) for several years, and for the first time, I have to give a negative overall assessment. This so-called ecotourism agency responds sparingly to your contacts, and when it does, it is late (one week??) and at night, which is too bad to be true. I had to contact another agency, which responded promptly and, unlike this one, was very professional.

  wrong tour!! I guess I severely overpaid for a full day experience to have a hiking guide for a few hours. Don't even know who to talk to about a refund. DO NOT BOOK through this website.

  On this trip to the island of Santiago, we find in the Silvio of "Discover Santiago Island" sympathy, honesty, professionalism, an enormous desire to offer its clients unique experiences and, above all, a friendship for life. I have no doubt that without your experience we would not have felt the deep and genuine Cape Verde, we would not have had access to almost intact landscapes, we would not have tasted the simplicity of the delicacies so unique in the flavors...I still have in my mouth the taste of that spice of cooked corn just coming out of the pan, eaten at many meters of altitude, in a breathtaking landscape... We were lucky to, at the end of the walk, watch the corn festival that is celebrated on November 1st and feel the people, the smells, the colors and the flavors so striking...there is that cachupa and that corn cake and that cuscuz... I loved listening to creole during my ten days in Santiago, if we pay attention we can realize a lot of what is said around us, and also here the Silvio makes a point of standing out, making the role of a teacher...Thank you very much for this too, Silvio! 🙏 As I told you when I said goodbye "You stayed in our heart ❤️"

  We had an outstanding two days visit of Santiago Island with Silvio. Not only a travel experience, but also a human experience, visiting beautiful places and meeting amazing people. We really loved the spirit with which Silvio showed us the marvelous place of Santiago. Silvio speaks English, but also many words of French although he does not advertise it.

  I visited Santiago with BuCountry and enjoyed a beautiful 6 day tour. The guides were very helpful and friendly and the island is beautiful with fantastic beaches great mountains and interesting history. I would highly recommend BuCountry if you visit Cape Verde!   If you ever meet this guy, know that you have been enough lucky to, to meet the best guide of Praia. And when Silvio assure you that he will refund your money if you dont like his tour, you can trust us that he knows what he is talking about ! There is no way that you wont like this magic day, we even ended up giving more money than agreed because we were so thankful of all the amazing things we did in one day. Silvio is a pure and nice guy, he was welcomed by all the people of the stops like a member of their family. P.s : if you are a man take great shoes, because you will have to clim a giant tree.... Good bye Silvio and hope to meet you really soon again brother ! No stress ! Todo Fish !!
