Berserkjahraun
Berserkjahraun is a vast and dramatic lava field, formed over 4,000 years ago by a violent volcanic eruption. Stretching across the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and bordering a tranquil lake, the area offers a striking contrast between jagged black lava and the serene Icelandic landscape. We'll pause here to take in the panoramic views while your guide shares the captivating legend behind the name—an ancient tale of Viking berserkers, love, and betrayal that has become part of local folklore. During the summer months, our visit becomes even more magical as we venture down a lesser-known path to discover a hidden waterfall nestled in the rugged terrain. This secret spot, surrounded by moss-covered lava and untouched nature, is a perfect place to connect with the quiet beauty of the Icelandic wilderness. It’s a moment of peace and wonder that many travelers never get to experience.
Kirkjufell Mountain
Kirkjufell is Iceland’s most photographed mountain, standing majestically on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Its striking conical shape has made it a popular landmark among tourists and locals alike. Its global fame skyrocketed after being featured in Game of Thrones, attracting even more visitors eager to capture its iconic silhouette. As you approach the best viewpoint, you’ll pass by two picturesque waterfalls, known as Kirkjufellsfoss. The combination of cascading water and the mountain’s dramatic backdrop creates a truly mesmerizing scene, perfect for photography and sightseeing.

We had an amazing experience today with this small tour agency. After a few days of traveling in large buses with delays and disorganization, this was a completely different experience. The tour felt very personal and well-organized. Our guide was always attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. He even asked where we preferred to be dropped off and kindly took us to a special restaurant, which we really appreciated. We are a family of three visiting Iceland, and throughout the entire tour, he genuinely cared about our well-being. Driving in these roads is not easy, but he handled everything professionally and safely. It was a beautiful and memorable experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something more personal and stress-free.
