What To Expect
National Museum of Ethiopia
You will start your city tour of Addis Ababa with the National Museum of Ethiopia. This is one of the best museums in quality and diversity of the exhibits. Archeological exhibits include the 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh – ‘thou art wonderful’- in the native language), a hominoid woman of the specious of Australopithecus Afarensis. The discovery of Lucy’s fossil in 1974 forced a complete rethink of human genealogy, providing that our ancestors were walking 2.5 million years earlier than had been supposed. The National Museum also contains many wonderful artifacts dating back to pre-Axumite civilization. Please note that the National Museum Will be closed on Monday.
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square Monument is located near the Addis Ababa University and the Lion Zoo. This place has a significant historical background.

5.00Hands down the best tour I have taken on vacation!! My guide's name was Teshome and my driver was Nebiyu. Both of them were very skilled, professional, and welcoming. Teshome is very knowledgeable in Ethiopian culture and history, which added to the excellent tour experience. If you have even one day in Addis Ababa, please take this tour, and especially request your tour with Teshome and Nebiyu. It will not disappoint, you will learn more than you expected, and you will enjoy an interesting tour with two delightful individuals. Because of them, I have a greater appreciation for Ethiopian culture, and I want to come back to visit.

5.00An excellent tour from beginning to end. Tour included a traditional coffee ceremony as well. Teshone is an excellent tour guide. He explained everything clearly and it is obvious he has a passion for what he does. He's originally from Lalibela and so he can offer advice on that area as well. I wholeheartedly recommend this company and Teshone as a tour guide.
