What To Expect
National Museum of Ethiopia
You will start your city tour of Addis Ababa with the National Museum of Ethiopia. This is one of the best museums in quality and diversity of the exhibits. Archeological exhibits include the 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh – ‘thou art wonderful’- in the native language), a hominoid woman of the specious of Australopithecus Afarensis. The discovery of Lucy’s fossil in 1974 forced a complete rethink of human genealogy, providing that our ancestors were walking 2.5 million years earlier than had been supposed. The National Museum also contains many wonderful artifacts dating back to pre-Axumite civilization. Please note that the National Museum Will be closed on Monday.
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square
Yekatit 12 Martyrs Square Monument is located near the Addis Ababa University and the Lion Zoo. This place has a significant historical background.

5.00Adisu was our guide and was truly exceptional. The tour provided us an opportunity to visit multiple sites and Adisu’s knowledge of the history of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, cultural elements and answering many questions we had was outstanding. I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00Luel (guide) and Yonas (driver) were fantastic! I have been in Addis for a week for work and haven't had the time to see the city. They were right on time picking me up from my hotel Saturday morning and it was a very small group tour. My highlights of the tour were the museums and lunch at Addis Ababa Restaurant. Luel walked us through the National Museum of Ethiopia and the Ethnographic Museum, explaining the importance of each display, giving us a real understanding of how they relate to the history and culture of Ethiopia. It was such an informative crash course on all things Ethiopia. At lunch, Luel helped me find a meat/sauce combination with the injera that I loved. I'd had trouble until then because I do not handle spice well but he was incredibly understanding and was very attentive to ensuring I ate enough and that I was enjoying the food. I so appreciate his knowledge, friendliness, and helpfulness throughout the day. I feel like at least I have come away from this trip knowing more about Ethiopia. I feel content that I got to see a wide swath of the city in the little time I had to explore it.
Best touch I’ve ever been one! If you are in Ethiopia and want to submersible tour, then choose this one!
