What To Expect
At 09:00 your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Plovdiv and after an hour and a half of beautiful driving, you will reach the architect reserve Koprivshtica. This small town is like a time machine. It will send you back into the late 19th century and you will feel the atmosphere of those times. You will learn a lot about the Ottoman period and the struggle for independence. For a better feeling your guide will show you some of the preserved houses and you will be able to enter and see what was like to live in that period. Also, the town is famous for its restaurants and absolutely delicious traditional cuisine. Your guide will assist to have an amazing lunch.

5.00Really interesting tour where you can learn about Bulgarian history meanwhile you enjoy in a traditional village with a very pintoresque and special architecture. The visit to a Tracian tomb of Starosel is really impresive, as you can access to the inside and realize how these structures were. Our guide Krasi made our trip really interesting. I would definitely recommend this trip

Very knowledgeable and experienced guide, a masterclass in Bulgarian history and culture with special focus on C19 National Revival and C3-4 BC Thrace. Impeccable timing and safely navigated in comfort. So much to take in and an experience that is greatly to be recommended!

5.00An excellent day tour! The day was and well-managed. Ivo, our guide - was excellent - knowledgeable and fun. The Starosel tomb was fascinating and Kovprivshita is like walking back in time. There we learned about brave people who fought for Bulgaria in 1876 through visiting their houses/museums. Lunch at the charming Bulgarian restaurant was a highlight.
