Visiting some water temples and mountain temple of Batukaru to experience the most beautiful temples in Bali. You will also stop at the widest rice terraces in Bali called Jatiluwih which has been acknowledged as the world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

What To Expect

Ulun Danu Bratan

The drive will go to the first temple called Ulun Danu Temple. The driving will be around 2 hours from the main tourist area. It is a temple floating on the famous lake of Beratan. It is a very important temple of water to worship the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Beratan as a main source irrigation in central Bali.

Jatiluwih Green Land

Next, we drive around 40 to 60 minute to Stop at the widest rice terraces in Bali called Jatiluwih which has been acknowledged from UNESCO as part of the world’s cultural heritage in maintaining the local culture of irrigation system called Subak.

Amazing experience — from the driver (Gusde) who took photos for us, kept us informed and gave us some background on the temples & rice terrace! We even opted to change our tour mid-tour to include the monkey forest which was amazing also!!! 10/10!

Berata was an outstanding guide for this all day family tour of Bali temples and the UNESCO Jatiluwih rice terraces. He provided excellent narratives for these cultural experiences and made sure we had ample time to really appreciate these national treasures. We highly recommend Berata and this all day excursion to immerse yourself into the historical aspects of Bali.

A very full day, lots of things to see. Temples were amazing, especially the 2 by the ocean (Tanah Lot), dramatic and picturesque. Baggus, our driver, was knowledgeable and friendly and gave lots of snippets of information. Definitely worth doing this trip, bur it does involve lots of driving around from place to place.
