  Helen did an excellent job creating a day of wine tasting for me! I was traveling solo and wanted to try British wines. She organized a variety of tastings at 3 wineries that were all unique in their offerings! I got a great example of all the types of wine produced here and had a great vineyard tour from a winery owner. I was coming from London and she helped direct me where and when to meet her in Ashford. Her communication was very appreciated! Can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience and highly recommend her! She can also create other trips, like seeing local castles or marshy areas, depending on what is requested!   We were given this wine tour as a wedding present, and I have to admit that I wasn't expecting anything special. And, boy was I surprised by the variety of wines and the care taken over the wines, but most of all by Helen and her hospitality and knowledge of the area and the history. Having her drive us around, really made the tour as we could have driven ourselves to the vineyards but having Helen do all the heavy lifting aka organising was a bonus. We were able to sit back and just enjoy the experience - and not worry about how much we could drink or how to get around. The day began with Helen picking us up at 10am from our hotel. She then drove us to our first stop, a lovely old vineyard which produces organic and bio dynamic wines, which was followed by another tour and tasting with a tasty lunch. I won't spoil the surprise by naming the vineyards, but Helen had curated a day of wine tasting and an education in viticulture that tapped into the new way of producing wines and also the traditional - with a lot of english fizz on offer. What a wonderful way to spend a day! I left with a new appreciation of English wines, viticulture, and a greater understanding of local history. As well as a new friend. Thank you Helen.

  We wanted to learn about English (sparking) wine and were a little overwhelmed by all the wineries one could visit. Hence we decided call upon the help of a local to show us around. We could not have hopped for a better guide than Helen. She was the absolute perfect guide, who even took us to a coffee roaster before heading to the first tasting. It was the perfect day and wouldn't want to chance it one bit.

  What a great way to see 3 vineyards in a day whilst staying in Rye, it's definitely the only way to do it. Helen was a lovely host and driver and had the right balance of being friendly and not obtrusive. My friend and I travelled in a very comfortable car and Helen had arranged for us to visit 3 contrasting vineyards in the East Sussex area. We had 2 tours & tastings and one tasting plus a quick trip to look at Bodiam Castle. Everything was very well organised from arranging pick up in Rye to arriving on time for the tours. A very stunning part of the UK too and we struck lucky with the very sunny weather. We would definitely book Helen again for another tour. Thank you.

  Helen was the perfect host, who ensured that we had a really special day. This was a well organised experience at two lovely vineyards and a microbrewery. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings of some good quality wines and beers. The Carr Taylor tour was excellent, in all its rusticity, and the wines were delicious.

  Helen was excellent! It was just my husband and I but it was more personal. We stopped at 3 vineyards and wasn’t rushed at all. As a bonus on the way back to our train she stopped at a local brewery. We had a great time and the places were beautiful. Helen is a wonderful person and we enjoyed our time with her as well. Highly recommend!

  We had a great day on this tour as a group of 4. Helen was really helpful and thorough, very easy to contact and was flexible with pickup and drop off locations. We had an extra coffee stop and then went to 3 vineyards. Lovely to see the beautiful countryside and hear some of the history of the villages on our way around as well.

  Helen arranged an amazing all-day tour for us! We got to see and taste quite a variety of local wine and even stopped at a local brewery to taste their beers before heading back to our hotel in Rye. The first stop was Carr Taylor winery where we joined a group tour of the vineyard followed by a tasting of all of their wines and lunch. The tour guide was entertaining and gave us a good bit of history about how the winery got it's start and how they developed their own techniques for growing grapes. Second stop was at the Sedlescombe Organic winery tasting room. The staff gave us a set of wines to taste and then customized the next set to suit our tastes. The third winery was Oastbrook Estate. The winery and tour is run by the ambitious and entertaining America, walking us through the vineyards and finishing with a tasting presented by her husband Nick. The wine and tour were great, our favorites of the day. If that wasn't enough, we stopped by a local castle for a peek and then to Three Legs Brewing Company to sample 4 of their beers before being dropped back off at our hotel in Rye. It was an amazing and full day! Helen did a great job of organizing the whole day, communicating with us before the trip and was very attentive and accommodating throughout. Really appreciated everything and would highly recommend this trip!
