  The lights in Funchal are off the scale and this trip gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy them. It was pouring with rain so sadly we didn't get the top down experience but the little VW Beetle gamely took us up and down the hills. Our driver, Rodolfo, was lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

  We were picked up promptly from the cruise dock , unfortunately the weather was very wet and windy so we were unable to have the top down in the car🙁Rodolfo our guide was excellent with interesting local knowledge about the area.The lights are amazing and we would have loved to have got out in the old town to explore further but as the weather was that bad we returned to the cruise port.The tour is excellent value and would highly recommend as something different to experience in beautiful Madeira.If the later time slots are available I would suggest going for that as the 6.30 slot was very busy traffic.Thank you Rodolfo for a lovely experience 😊

  Very interesting tour around Funchal to view the Xmas lights. All good, nice conversations with driver regarding life on Madiera. Would recommend.

  Very enjoyable hour, seeing the lights that we would never see on foot. We went down some back streets and out of the main city. Driver very informative.

  We originally did the VW tour of the Christmas lights 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a fabulous way to see the Funchal lights with the top down. We took a tuk tuk tour last year and, although it was good, we gravitated back to this one again this year and it didn't disappoint. We spent time driving round the many beautifully lit streets of Funchal and even got a run up along the Lido area to The Forum before being dropped back at our hotel. If you're considering doing this, don't hesitate!
