The gigantic steel equine statue mounted by Genghis Khan himself is the largest statue of an equestrian in the world. This 40 m tall statue is located on a hillside on the bank of the Tuul River in an area called Tsonjin Boldog and connected to capital Ulaanbaatar by 54 km paved road. Tsonjin Boldog was chosen according to the legend that Genghis Khan found a whip in this area. In Mongolia, people believe that man finding a whip is a sign of fortune, good destiny, and occasion. The statue faces east, the direction of Genghis Khan's birthplace, and the sunrise. If you stretch your eyes to the east, you will see a small statue of his mother greeting him.

Awesome way to see some of Mongolia’s natural wonders, countryside, history and awesome experiences in just one day! Our guides were terrific, friendly and engaging, their insights on Mongolian history was amazing, going through the Genghis Khan statue museum with their insights incredible. Absolutely 5 star experience, incredible good value for money, in Australia Camel ride alone would cost this. Guides went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great experience, taking hundreds of photos for you, knowing best spots for photos and encouraging poses to best capture pics. Highly recommend, esp for those with an adventurous spirit, you’ll have an extra special experience

The guide was funny and informative. I learned a lot of Mongolian history in the Chinggis Khan Statue Museum. The lunch was gorgeous. The nomad-life trial in the national park was also fantastic.

The trip was amazing — both educational and fun! I learned so much about the history of Mongolia during the time of Chingis Khaan. Mongolia has such a rich and impressive history, and our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. He was also very fun and entertaining throughout the tour. I booked this tour solo and ended up sharing it with three other solo travelers, which made the experience even better. Our group later combined with another group from the same company, and their tour guide was hilarious and also a great photographer! They really made an effort to capture everyone’s experience — from the giant statues, camel ride, and archery to the very challenging yet exciting climb at Turtle Rock. The entire experience was memorable, enjoyable, and well-organized. I honestly wish all tour guides were like them!

I think this was a great way to spend the day and see a lot of the area. I also appreciate the all inclusive... the eagle pics, camel ride and lunch were added bonuses for sure. Shoutout to Josh and Han for being wonderful picture takers and guides.

I joined in a group for this tour with Mr.Dorj as our driver and the tour guide. He is so friendly, well fluent in English and patient enough to answer each of my questions. In just one single day we covered several iconic places withing the national park. His explanations on exhibits inside the Chinggis Khaan statue complex were commendable. We had a memorable photoshoot while riding a Bactrian camel; holding a golden eagle and conversing with a local ger tent dweller, all while I was adorning a traditional Mongolian costume. The lunch included in this tour was so delicious and it has got a wide spread of items for us to try. Finally we completed our tour with a little hike to the Aryapala Meditation temple making this whole journey a more memorable one. I highly recommend Mr.Dorj and his company for booking this tour to visit the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.
