The true tales of intrigue, tragedy, and lost love reveal a rich underside of Charleston’s character that isn’t apparent during the day.
The highlight of your tour is our exclusive nighttime access to the 18th century Unitarian Church Graveyard, where you will experience something magical. The Ghosts of Charleston is Buxton Books’ signature and most popular book-based walking tour -- a favorite of visitors and locals for over 27 years.
*Travelers may select either a 1-hour Graveyard Only Tour or a 1.5-hour full Ghosts of Charleston tour which includes Unitarian Graveyard and tour of haunted downtown Charleston.

Unitarian Church Graveyard: Departs from and returns to Buxton Books. After check in, travelers will be lead by tour guide directly to the graveyard.
Graveyard Only: 1 hour tour of Unitarian Graveyard only. Select other option at check out to include city tour portion.

5.0We were hoping that we were going to get Simon and thankfully we did! We are a couple that loves doing fun historically based tours and this one was definitely a highlight! It was just the right amount of spooky and educational! The tour guide was wonderfully poetic and very conscious of his surroundings and making sure our group was safe and we got good spots everywhere!

5.0Simon was a great host and delightful storyteller. I attended with several folks who had never been on a ghost tour anywhere and this was such a perfect intro.

1.0I hate writing bad reviews but this was seriously bad. At least with my tour guide Liz, it was way more of a history tour with the sparsest commentary of ghosts. I've never wanted my money back so badly - wish I went with any other group

5.0Tour guide Mark dramatically reciting the poem “Annabel Lee” in the graveyard was spine tingling. We were in a small group (six total) so we certainly got the personal touch. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We really enjoyed the ghost tour and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
