Spend a memorable day visiting what is undoubtedly Northern Ireland's most infamous attraction. Travel by coach on a journey you will remember for a lifetime, taking in the spectacular natural beauty that is the Antrim Coastal Road, Carrickfergus Castle, Portaneevy Viewing Point to see the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (Due to National Trust Staffing Issues they will not accept any coach or group bookings at present but we will be stopping for photographs), the Giant's Causeway, and the Game of Thrones locations, including the Dark Hedges plus much much more. This tour travels the entire coast road from Belfast which is a must-see area of outstanding natural beauty. Not all tours to the Causeway include this but is widely known to be best route to the causeway. To leave this out of your tour would be a big loss!!

This is an enjoyable trip if you know what you're getting, avoid the lunch plug, and there are no organisational issues! The bus was clean and had air-conditioning, and the driver's experience showed as he negotiated the tricky drive well. His commentary, though not the style I'd normally choose, was lively and definitely helped pass the time on the long drive. The scenery along the way was lovely, and after a busy few days in Belfast I really enjoyed sitting back, relaxing and taking in the views. There are 5 stops on this tour: Carrickfergus castle/harbour, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge viewing point, the Dark Hedges, Bushmills Distillery and the Giant's Causeway. At Carrickfergus the coach stops in the car park adjacent to the castle and harbour. There's time for a look at the outside of the castle and a toilet stop or time to buy a drink. This is enough unless you wanted to visit the castle (wouldn't be possible.) The next stop is a viewing point above the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Time to look and take photos, though it is quite far (see photo attached.) Large coaches aren't able to get any nearer. At the Dark Hedges, the driver heavily plugs the buffet meal offered by the hotel, offering 'discount vouchers', whilst warning against the "rip-off" café over the road. We weren't hungry enough for lots of food so just went to the café for a drink and toilet stop (customers only.) We didn't have a meal but the prices didn't seem too bad, plenty of offering like jacket potatoes and toasties. If a nice day there's a beautiful grassy area alongside the path to the hedges, would be lovely to have lunch sat on the grass (no benches here) if you'd brought a sandwich. We had no interest in the Game of Thrones connection, but I walked to the hedges (trees) anyway and enjoyed seeing the feature. I took some photos and loved the way the light played through the trees. Even just after having a quick sandwich and a coffee in the café there was just enough time for this, as it was about 10 minutes walk to the trees. Some of those who had the buffet definitely felt rushed. The next quick stop is at Bushmills Whisky Distillery. There is a photo opportunity in front of a copper pot still next to the car park, and time to visit the shop if you wish. There are also toilets in the reception area. The final stop the main attraction: the Giant's Causeway. It was pretty busy here, but I did think it was really interesting; I was glad I made the effort to visit. The main 'causeway' you see on photos was smaller than I imagined, but there were plenty of other bits to look at. The 90 minutes allowed here is about right. Follow the driver's instructions to find the path with free admission. There is a National Trust operated shuttlebus for £1 each way, otherwise it's it's a 15 minute or so steepish walk down (and then a bit longer back up!) There will be a queue for the bus up at least, so allow time for this. You can't go in the Visitor Centre café or shop without paying the (high) admission fee, but there are National Trust toilets OUTSIDE the hotel next door, which also has a small gift shop and sells refreshments. There's also a pub across the road. Then the bus heads straight back to Belfast via a quicker inland route, arriving back around 5.30 pm. All in all, I think this tour is a good option to see the Giant's Causeway and the coastal scenery, and good value for money. I would have given 4 stars, but we had originally booked for the previous day and were contacted the day before that and told we had to be moved a day later due to 'overbooking'. If we had had other plans booked this would have meant we missed out on one of our main reasons for visiting Northern Ireland.

This was amazing, very worth the money. The driver was brilliant and very funny. Even when some passengers went missing and were very late getting back to the coach, he wasn’t phased. The tour was very interesting and the view at the Giants causeway was breathtaking. Top Tip, get an ice cream from the ice cream van at the Bridge stop and bring a packed lunch as theres only one stop for food at the Dark Hedges and that’s at a hotel. Brilliant tour

We saw a lot and covered a lot of the country on this tour! Our first stop was to Carrickfergus Castle for a bathroom and photo stop. Next we made our way up the scenic coast and stopped for photos of the bridge and coastline. Note you will see the bridge from a distance and will not be going directly to it. I feel like we could have used maybe more time at the Dark Hedges as they are a decent walk from the parking area and this was also the lunch stop. The cafe food quality was not very good and I recommend maybe bringing your own lunch. Can’t speak for the hotel restaurant quality. We then went to Bushmill’s distillery which was a cool stop to try some Irish whisky but felt we could have had more time here as well. Then the final stop was the Giant’s Causeway which is beautiful but felt we had too much time here. We were concerned with the drive back we would not make it in time for the shuttle back to our cruise ship. We made it back to the ship with 20 minutes to spare so be aware if you are on a cruise this cuts it close. For the price this tour has great value!

Big day but thoroughly enjoyed it. The causeway is spectacular but make sure you wear comfortable shoes ... Glad there was a bus to get up and down.

Had a brilliant day. Thank you. I think the only thing that could have been better would have been if you were able to walk the rope bridge itself but understand the reason why, as buses aren’t allowed to park and also option to do tour of Bushmills

This is a good value days tour. The driver/tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. You do get a bit railroaded to places of interest to only a few people on the way to the Causeway and you only get to see the Rope Bridge from a distant viewing point but overall this is a good day out.
