Dunluce Castle

The first castle at Dunluce was built in the early 13th century by Richard Óg de Burgh 2nd Earl of Ulster. The Castle served as the seat of the Earl of Antrim until the impoverishment of the MacDonnell Clan in 1690 following the defeat of James the second. At the Battle of the Boyne.

    Thomas took us on a private tour to Giant’s Causeway and many sights along the coast. Thomas is engaging and entertaining, with informative, interactive narrative along the way. We saw the Dark Hedges, and other Game of Thrones sights along the beautiful coast. We were given plenty of time to explore at the Giant’s Causeway, our lunch stop, Old Bushmills Distillery, and the Castle. Highly recommend!
