09:00 Monet’s House. Discover the works by Monet and his circle, his Japanese engravings collection, his chambers. 09:30 - 11:30 The gardens and the lily pond. There are two parts in Monet's garden: a flower garden called Clos Normand in front of the house and a Japanese inspired water garden on the other side of the road. Later you will have some time for the gift shop/bathrooms/lunch is necessary.

5.00We truly enjoyed this tour! Victoria shared the history of the French kings, the musketeers, and the story of Versailles in such an engaging and vivid way. Even though it was raining, the small and charming town looked beautiful and full of character. We discovered that Versailles is so much more than just the grand palace and gardens! Giverny also left a wonderful impression on us, even if the weather wasn’t on our side.
Stay away- schedule your own transport and save 80% of the price. No information given on tour. Day wasted

1.00****STEER CLEAR***** Please save yourself time and money and do this tour on your own arrangement of transport**** We were placed on a tour with a guide that is very inexperienced. When I say not ONE fact about any site was shared throughout the entire 8 hour day- i do not lie. You’d be better off arranging your own transportation between sites and paying for admission directly with monets house and Versailles. we do not blame the tour guide directly. She was gravely ill prepared by her company to complete our tour. It was my mother (60) and I (30) Our guide did not speak French, or was able to read French signage that sometimes gave information about the room/graves/paintings/art/directions. The point of touring is to learn about the site, and I cannot stress this enough : **Absolutely no information about ANY site other than what was clearly written in English was given to us. *** She told us no information about monet, his house, the areas we drove through, Versailles, who lived there, what years, any historical facts whatsoever. In fact it was very obvious she had never been to these places hosting on tour. We spent a lot of time trying to decipher a map of the gardens that she did not know any direction or make any suggestions on which rooms/garden areas to see or pathways to take. No information, no guidance given. It was clearly her first time with a small tour, we even briefly waited on the incorrect line at monets house for entrance. She didn’t know anything about Versailles or how to get around. She repeated she’d never been on the tour without the group, so all the entrances were different than what we used today. We asked for restaurant locations, restaurant/walking path recommendations, information about the tram, history about the sites, every time we asked anything she didn’t know and had contacted your office multiple times on how to proceed. Other notes: our driver spoke no English (though he was trying his best.) It was an odd interaction for the driver to not speak English or French, and no one in the car able to speak French, using google translate to get us around. The rides were completely silent, no tour information or site information was given to us between sites. In fact between giverny and Versailles even our guide briefly napped in the front seat. We arrived in giverny over an hour before we were allowed entry. Nothing was open in the town. We walked to the cemetery and again no information *at all* was mentioned about Monet, the area, anything. Originally the ticket for Versailles was a 3 pm entry, that would’ve given us a gap from 1230 pm when we arrived in Versailles to 3 pm without any activity or even a plan for an activity. Very odd. We tried to remain positive. Though we were able to get into Versailles early with luck, there’s no way we could’ve seen even a fraction of the Versailles grounds in 1-1.5 hrs. For the scheduled tour end time of 5pm. We barely made it through the chateau in a hour and we moved quickly with again- no information about anything we were seeing. There was no plan, she had no sense of direction of where we were going. We constantly walked and had to turn around because we were lost with the guide leading us. In fact we had tried to stop multiple times to listen to other English speaking guides talk about the sites- this continued to take away time we had to spend on tour. I had stated the day before I wanted to spend time in Versailles and echoed today I wanted to see Trianon/marie Antoinette’s area. We had lunch and decided to walk back towards the car to go home at the end of the day. Only after ~415 pm did the guide mention that the driver usually drives us to the Trianon area, (which we decided to skip due to walking distance since we couldn’t get the tram ticket , or she was unsure where to purchase these tickets and felt like we wouldn’t have been unable to complete the tour on time. We would have had time if we knew about this earlier in the day. It might’ve rerouted the entire structure of the afternoon. The entire reason we booked a tour was to have someone that spoke French to help us get around, knew the areas and can navigate it well, and teach us something about any of the sites, and unfortunately she did none of those. We would’ve covered more ground/seen more sites if we hired private transport and used audio guides for a fraction of the cost. I requested a refund for this tour, and was denied due to “not liking the tour guide”. We frequent tours all around the world and this day was run so poorly I’m appalled theyve priced it for the service we’ve received. Steer clear ***

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Versailles gardens (and the trianons) and Giverny. Our tour guide was Diana who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and the tour was well organised. Everywhere was very crowded because of the time of year, which is to be expected. Diana recommended a place for lunch in Giverny which we enjoyed and we had free time at both Versailles and Giverny to wander around at leisure. We had limited time on our trip to Paris and would have struggled to see both places in an efficient manner without this tour. To avoid the crowds, we would recommend going earlier or later in the year. Thank you, Diana, for making this a great day for us.

5.00Maria was well informed, knew how to move through the crowds, and was accommodating! It is a lot to do Giverny and Versailles in one day…do not underestimate how much time and walking is required, but if you are up for it, Maria is an excellent guide!

His knowledge of French history really brought the places we visited to life, from Monet’s life and artistic inspirations to the rich history of Versailles. He made everything feel engaging and personal. He also shared a few of his favorite local spots in Paris and followed up with links, which was a really thoughtful touch. Our driver Sultan was just as wonderful. He was calm and patient the whole time, even when we ran a little behind schedule, he greeted us with a smile and never made us feel rushed. The whole experience was warm, well paced, and genuinely memorable. We are so glad we did it. Highly recommend!
