  • Mixed feelings, but camp staff amazing!

Slightly mixed experience of this tour I’m afraid. We booked directly with the tour company. I exchanged email correspondence with Heidy, and was told we should go to their office for the start of the tour. No address was given, except the one in her email signature, so we presumed that was the place to go. This was sadly half the way across Ica, and when I said this to Heidy she didn’t feel the need even to apologise that we hadn’t been told where to go. The activities we did felt a bit rushed, but more importantly, we were told absolutely nothing. We weren’t told what we would be doing or given any real English instructions - the guy who took us boarding etc didn’t seem to really care. Also they don’t tell you in advance you will need a head covering …. The tubing was not so fun without it as I just had a face full of sand. The camp itself was really pretty, but it was a slight shame we were the only people there. It feels a bit awkward when it’s just you, and it might have been nice to know in advance. The guys who looked after us at camp were really nice, and the meal was amazing! WiFi is there too which is good. Bed was pretty comfy for the desert too! I had mentioned to Heidy the day before that we would need to get a bus from Ica at 9 and be there a little before. She had not communicated this to the other staff in the morning so it was a bit of a mad scramble to get a taxi. A cool experience, and some really nice staff and moments, just a shame that the organisation was not so great…

  • Fantastic experience, well-worth your time and money.

A superb experience. The staff is friendly, very professional and extremely helpful. The camp office is beautiful and well-appointed, all the facilities were very clean. Our driver-guide, Bruno, is a 5-⭐️ employee. He assuaged my trepidation before the sand-surfing and my husband and I had a fantastic experience, same with every other activity (tube riding, sunset watching). The accommodations at Camp were beautiful ❤️❤️, luxurious, spacious and very comfortable. They have internet and you can charge your phones. The food was excellent, delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.. Had a great time conversing with the other attendees who were from Australia and France. The view and stargazing...breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious (eggs made to order, freshly squeezed OJ, hot strong coffee--from expresso to lattes). The showers werw spacious, clean, with plenty of hot water. They have dispensers for soap and provide towels. Would repeat right now if I had extra days in my trip. Thank you Duna Camp for a glorious experience!!! Worth every penny. If you are thinking about it, book it now, you will be glad you did.

This was a really excellent me exited experience. Since the arriving to the meeting point until the morning we enjoy many great moments. The driving at the desert, sand boarding, the sunset, the Huacachina, we got the right places to get the best pictures, the dinner at the camp with food, wine and good music. The right amount of people. The accommodation at the tents were comfortable. Highly recommended

It was such a good experience. As an introvert traveling alone, I really appreciate the fact that they gave me my own solo spot.. I would’ve find it awkward to eat around people I don’t know, yet i had my own table and my own tipi for the appetizer. The desert tour was mesmerizing !! I recommend this tour 100%

  • Good glamping, rich food and friendly guides

Super friendly guides at all times. The tour part seemed a little quick, a few minutes alone in the Huachaquina, just a slipped sandboard, and so on. The divine sunset, quite an experience. Night was much faster than I expected and the night got very cold, but the shops are very well prepared. Delicious and hearty food. It was best to walk in the desert at dawn the next day.

  • The right combo: Far from everything - close to you

One of the most memorable experiences of my life - ever. The logistics of the entire experience is well organized - activities, communication, food, everything was made so guest can do nothing but enjoy the stay far from everything, but close to nature. This tour offers the perfect combo of adrenaline and tranquility in the middle of nothing but everything. I highly recommend this experience. Naturally is beautiful and Marcos, who handles it, had everything we needed considered.

Amazing experience, you cant miss it. The activities are super fun, the food is great, the service is amazing and the amenities are spectacular. Some tips: 1. Have lunch before going to the tour since the meal is at 7:30pm 2. Bring a mask and sunglasses to the activities 3. Bring flip flops or sandals too since you will be walking on sand a lot so your shoes might get full of sand 4. Bring a sweater or jacket for the night Things to know: 1. You’ll have wifi throughout the whole experience basically 2. You can charge your phone (remember the voltage is 220 in Peru) 3. Charge your phone! At night the lights went out so some people didn’t have battery at all
