Stirling Castle
You’ll be driven right up to the gates of Stirling Castle, where you can get a spectacular view over the City of Stirling. Upon entering the castle, you’ll be met with costumed characters who will transport you back to 16th-century life, showing you Mary’s childhood home and how the castle would have looked at that time. Stirling Castle is arguably one of the most significant places in Mary Stewart’s history. Aged just nine months, Mary was crowned Queen of Scots. The ceremony was conducted in September 1543 in the Chapel Royal of Stirling Castle, and was the first time the Honours of Scotland were used.
Callander
Known as The Gateway to the Highlands, Callander is an extremely pretty tourist town. Bursting with coffee shops, gifts shops - and of course a fantastic whisky shop - the first stop on this tour will get you ready for everything that’s to come. You can also take a stroll along the River Teith which flows along the edge of the town, with spectacular views of Ben Ledi and the Craggs behind the town.

Hands-down, our all-time best private tour experience on any continent. Fraser was absolutely amazing with great stories, music, and an encyclopedic knowledge of Scottish history. We had so much fun, saw amazing sites, and experienced both the history and wonder of Scotland. Fraser was even able to tweak our itinerary along the way to add an encounter with coos cows!! Hurry and book your tour with Hopscotch Travel…and ask for Fraser. You’ll love every minute of your time in Scotland!

A fantastic experience from beginning to end. Luxurious vans with friendly tour guides who shared local insights and tales as we roamed at a relaxing pace through the stunning attractions of Edinburgh. Numerous walks, breaks and whiskey along the way ensured there was always excitement. No request was too challenging. Thank you Team Hopscotch!

Michael, our tour guide from Hopscotch Travel was fantastic! He was very punctual in picking us up. The van was clean and comfortable. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort, checked in with us often on the plans and was quick to accommodate changes in weather and our personal preferences. He was very knowledgeable about the local sites as well as greater Scottish history. We would definitely take another tour with Hopscotch Travel and Michael in the future!
