This is a great way to see the underwater world without getting wet. The tour on the boat is about 45 minutes long.
The Glass Bottom Boat has been taking guests through the reefs of West Bay Beach for over 12 years. The glass bottom boat is like a "semi-submarine", you sit 6 feet BELOW the surface with windows on either side of you and air conditioning; imagine looking through a life size aquarium! Perfect for non-divers and people of all ages; great family fun!
After you finish you can enjoy the world famous beach "West Bay Beach" snorkel, swim in the crystal clear waters or have drinks or snacks in one of the many beachfront restaurants and bars.

What To Expect
West Bay Beach
West Bay is one of the Roatan's main attractions. The beach is known for its tranquil waters, excellent snorkeling, shore entry scuba, and an array of waterfront activities. Tourist coming off of cruise ship find their way to West Bay beach for a few hours while the ship is safely docked.

5.00We were picked up close to where our ship docked. It was about an half hour drive to the west bay Beach where we waited for the boat. It was a semi-submersable, not a glass bottom boat. Regardless, we had a knowledgeable English speaking guide, a very helpful driver who returned us back to the ship so we had an excellent day. The view of the reef, fish and turtles was excellent. There were children on this excursion and they loved it too!

3.00The boat pictured in the Viator ad is not the boat you get on. The boat we used was so noisy due to a portable generator on board that the trip was not very enjoyable.
It was a nice relaxing day trip. Would do it again

5.00We really enjoyed the day trip. Edgar was very friendly and helpful and the boat ride was great. We saw all kinds of fish, some divers and a sea turtle. The beach area was really nice as well.
