Dwejra Bay
Dwejra, with its dramatic coastal formations and sea spilling over the rocks, is a magical attraction. Here you can swim in the spectacular deep sea of the bay, in the calm shallows of the inland sea or in the foamy waters around the Blue Hole – one of Gozo’s top dive-sites. Dwejra is also home of the Fungus Rock or, as it is locally known, “Il-Ġebla tal-Ġeneral”, General’s Rock. It is so called in remembrance of the Italian General who centuries ago fell to his death while supervising quarrying in the area. History tells us that a special plant believed to have medicinal and healing properties used to grow on Fungus Rock and because of this the Rock used to be heavily guarded during the era of the Knights of Malta. Anyone caught stealing the crop was sentenced to death or to a life rowing the Knights’ galleys. The crop was picked and brought to the mainland using a primitive system of baskets and pulleys.
Xwejni Salt Pans
On the north coast of Gozo, just past Qbajjar Bay west of Marsalforn, the coast is characterised by a chequerboard of rock-cut saltpans protruding into the sea. These 350-year-old salt pans, which stretch about 3km along the coast, are more than just scenic. They are part of the centuries-old Gozitan tradition of Sea-Salt production that has been passed down within certain families for many generations. During the summer months, locals can still be seen scraping up the crystals of salt. Once collected, the salt is stored and processed in the caves that have been carved into the coastal rock.

The Driver was 20mins late to the designated pick up point (annoying) but then we got transported up to the tip of Malta to a "boat" which took us across to Gozo - this part was a little underwhelming. However as soon as we stepped onto the Dock at Gozo, super professional and organized, transport took us to the Quads where we were met by Mark and Dave (our guides) brilliant guys, helpful and made the day fun. Touring round the island on the quads was amazing and we felt perfectly safe. Lunch stop was well organized with great food. Side Boat trip well worth while, Overall Great Adventure Day Out, Big Thanks to Mark and Dave once again - Highly Recommended.

Disclaimer: there is no such thing as crappy weather, only crappy clothing choices. We spent an awesome day with our awesome guide, Mark, riding in rain, sun, cool temps, and gloomy clouds...and loved every minute of it. No issue with the equipment and great stops along the way. Once the rain stops, you'll dry off on the ride; no worries. Highly recommend!.

My partner and I really enjoyed this quad biking experience around Gozo. We enjoyed learning about the culture and history of Gozo with Mark, who is an excellent guide. Gozo Pride which is a local run business, accommodated our travel to and from seamlessly. Would thoroughly recommend this experience.

Everything worked out here. From the pick-up from the agreed location, the crossing from Malta to Gozo and the drive to Pride Tour Gozo, where a detailed briefing to the quad bike took place. There were several guides on site and the briefing was conducted in English, French and German. The guides are super friendly and helpful. A really successful day. Lunch (included in the price) was also very good. A great way to explore the island!

Excursion to Gozo as a couple, pick up near the ideal hotel. Superb walk optimized to see the main areas of interest of Gozo and beautiful scenery. The incredible quad feeling. Flat: Lots of Waiting time to get to the quads. The meal is good but not very hearty.

We had the pleasure of joining guides Mark and Jane on a fantastic tour around the island. There was plenty of time to enjoy the many wonderful stops, a nice meal included along the way, and opportunities to buy refreshments at several places. If you want to experience Gozo on a guided tour while avoiding the typical tourist traps, this is definitely the one for you. Thank you for an amazing experience, Mark and Jane 💪🏻

This was a fun day, but definitely not cultural. You cruise the coast and see a few beaches, salt pans, early lunch at 11.30am in some city (no idea where as no info was given). We didn't visit the citadel which was a bit of a let down. We stopped for a taste of prickly pear liqueur and a shop for souvenirs...total waste of time. Although I give this 4 stars, cause it was fun, don't do this of you're looking to see cultural Gozo.
