Eric from Grand Canyon Explorer Tours gave us a great half day tour of the Grand Canyon South Rim. He has historical knowledge and was informative regarding plants, bugs, rocks. He has everything you may need in his magic van(i.e. phone chargers, drinks, snacks!) Lunch was also included, which was nice to get out and visit a local venue. Would recommend.

Very thoughtful, thorough tour of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim led by the extremely knowledgeable Eric. Our morning started with pick up in a tour van which includes every possible snack, coffee, water, WiFi and even charging cords. As an experienced local, he knows the best, most scenic stops along the Rim. And what beautiful breathtaking views! And you see them all in detail with the binoculars he provides. His wealth of knowledge extends from the layers of canyon itself, its history, to the native plants and animals, and Native American spiritual traditions. We like these small, more intimate tours vs a big bus Whether your first time (like us) or a repeat visitor, you will learn a lot from Eric…plus it includes a full lunch at a local restaurant!

If you want to really enhance your visit, consider this excellent 1/2 day tour. This tour took us to places I would probably not visited on our own. Eric, the guide, shares history on geology, native Americans, flora, fauna, weather patterns, you name it. The newer model 10 passenger van was full. Tight, but not uncomfortable. You are outside of the Van taking in the different sites, more than you are driving. My adult daughter and I agreed this was worthwhile and can highly recommend it to others. Lunch at the Yapavii restaurant was outstanding. Nice variety of menu items and the food quality was superb. Eric will pick you up if you’re staying within the park. We went on the 9AM tour. However, if you’re coming from the outside, I suggest you get through the park gate by 8 AM and then wait at the assigned meeting place for him. There can be quite a wait if you come later. We zipped through at 7:45 AM and went directly to the gift shop that opened at 8AM to get the items we wanted the day before, but did not want to wait in a line of 200 people ( for real) at 4PM to check out. Eric, is genuine and has a great sense of humor. Consider this tour, you will not be disappointed.😀

Great tour. Eric is very knowledgeable, his van was comfortable, & he provided snacks & drinks. Only negative is he tended to “lecture “ us about topics not related to the Grand Canyon. He was able to answer all our questions.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our first trip to the Grand Canyon, and Eric's tour certainly helped. He is an absolute wealth of knowledge and provided us with wonderful views and numerous learning experiences. Lunch was great and a bonus. I highly recommend the tour if it's your first or hundredth visit.

Our guide Eric Albanese was excellent! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and creation of the Grand Canyon. We took the morning tour and it was like having a private tour. Next time we will be taking the sunset tour! We learned a lot from Eric. This tour is definitely well worth every penny we paid for it, and more! Thank you Eric for giving us such a memorable experience!
