Good guide, but this tour could have been cut by a couple of hours. The visit to Serendip Sanctuary and Melba Gorge were not really relevant. The 12 Apostles were good to see, but the cafe/toilets were abysmal. We could have done with an extra hour in Apollo Bay, but this stop was a bit rushed. The three hour drive home was not ideal

We met our guide for the day, Iklay, a joyous gentlemen who goes beyond his duties in first looking for three members who were late at meeting point at 7:30AM, he relentlessly checked with his office to contact those three, and finally met them at another side of the meeting place. The tour went on like clockwork, this was also attributed by all our tour buddies being cooperative and being on time at various stops, along the way from the start, Iklay gave lots of information and insight into the Great Ocean Road, like a reading machine, structured, easy to listen, and he threw in some songs that are uniquely Great Ocean Road. Six Stars He was humorous yet firm in ensuring safety practices such as using seat belts where on the road, and not to jaywalk at stops with more traffic. On our return journey to Melbourne, one of our tour buddy walk up to him because she left behind her bag pack at the Macdonalds we stopped for break, Iklay accepted without hesitation to help her in the unwarranted event, and turned around for several kilometres to the MacDonald to have her retrieved the bag; God gracious ! Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome for this one day tour, and wish to commend Iklay for his professionalism; this gave me better confidence to booking such tours in the future. (I had wanted to book several more day tours prior to landing, but was very much affected by some numbers of bad reviews on some tour guides and last minute cancellations)

It's very long. Our trip took 15hrs instead of 12hrs. Be prepared for it to go over time. I would have given a higher rating if it was closer to the 12hrs.

  • Best tour ever.

It is a very long day, but well worth it. Peter is such a wonderful guide and I hope everyone that takes this tour is blessed to get him. Not only did we see the lusted items included in the tour he made sure we saw more (wildlife) than expected.
