What To Expect
Combine your trip to the Great Salt Lake with what I consider the only way to visit it by experiencing Antelope Island. This little known island is teaming with wildlife, and you can't get the quiet of wilderness by simply visiting it near I-80. We will spot for the wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison we'll watch for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and if the season is right up to 200,000 migratory birds. You can truly experience Nature in its finest form on this beautiful island. After wildlife spotting, we'll hike to Buffalo Point on the Island to watch the sunset and take in the breathtaking views. *Bug Season (April-June) We have bug spray for the mosquitos, and hats/bug nets for the biting gnats. Midges do not bite. The Hike is .9 miles round trip. It has a couple steep parts on dirt, but it's very well traveled. I would designate this as a moderate hiking difficulty, which is less than a mile. The Tour Vehicle is a 10 Passenger Ford Transit Passenger Van with a High Roof and really great large windows in the back for viewing. There is bathroom availability

5.00Our tour with Amandha on Antelope Island was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, she created such a warm, engaging experience for our group. The bison tour was truly magical—being surrounded by a herd as they crossed the road was something we’ll be talking about for years. Amandha shared fascinating facts about the island’s wildlife and history in a way that was both informative and fun. The sunset hike was the perfect end to the day. Amandha made it feel peaceful and personal, pointing out little details in the environment we never would’ve noticed on our own. Watching the sunset over the Great Salt Lake, with Kate stopping to take photos of bugs and soak in the moment, felt like something out of a dream. Amandha’s passion for the island and her genuine care for the people on her tours shines through. This wasn’t just a tour—it was a beautiful, grounding experience that we’ll always be grateful for. Highly recommend!

5.00Nice drive out to Antelope Island park. Saw a lot of Bison - both in large herds in the distance, and a few that were very close to the road! Also some Pronghorns. Evening seems like a good time of day to go to this park, the animals are active and the sunset was beautiful.

5.00If you don't have much time to see SLC highlights - this is a must see. The beautiful salt lake and the wildlife is an incredible experience to take in nature, animals and stunning sunset. Highly recommend if you only have a short stay.
