On this 10-11-hour tour you will visit Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia. It is one of the main cultural centers of the republic, you will see the museum of urban life and national culture of Gyumri. Besides, there will be a chance to walk through the old streets of the town, visit black fortress and enjoy lunch in national restaurant (own expense). Finally visit 7th century Monastery Harichavank situated on the western slope of Mount Aragats, on a roky cape.

Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life
Everyday life, culture and history of Gyumri are presented in the museum. This remarkable mansion was built by wealthy merchant Petros Dzitoghtsyan in 1872 from the famous red tuff of Shirak. The museum was founded in 1984 in this very building. It is included in the list of intangible monuments of history and culture of Gyumri.

5.00Nice trip to Gyumry from Erevan With an interesting stop at Harichavank monastery I loved this city, with interesting history museum Also loved armenian plates during a lunch in restaurant City tour with Nina was amazing: very detailed and full of local stories I highly reccomend !

4.00Thumbs up to both tour guide Maria and driver Khachik. Maria is very knowledgeable and friendly explaining all the details of attractions. Khachik is extremely professional and cautious in driving through the various roads. He’ll slow down when there’s a bump on the road that greatly elevated the comfort of the ride. Even though the weather was not perfect (started raining during lunch) but Maria is still earnestly leading us through the attractions. Luckily the rain stopped and we enjoyed an hour of walking through the historic sites. I’d strongly recommend this tour as it highlights the city history and culture that differs with other monastery rich tours. The only regret is not having the opportunity to taste Gyumri beer.

5.00We were with our husband on a group excursion to Gyumri, our tour guide Arpine was very interested in telling the history of the city, visited the museum (very informative). The organization is at a good level, and the water was given and sweets were treated, and it was comfortable to ride with driver Ashot.
