On this 10-11-hour tour you will visit Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia. It is one of the main cultural centers of the republic, you will see the museum of urban life and national culture of Gyumri. Besides, there will be a chance to walk through the old streets of the town, visit black fortress and enjoy lunch in national restaurant (own expense). Finally visit 7th century Monastery Harichavank situated on the western slope of Mount Aragats, on a roky cape.

Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life
Everyday life, culture and history of Gyumri are presented in the museum. This remarkable mansion was built by wealthy merchant Petros Dzitoghtsyan in 1872 from the famous red tuff of Shirak. The museum was founded in 1984 in this very building. It is included in the list of intangible monuments of history and culture of Gyumri.

5.00Wonderful experience thanks to the presence of a guide not only super prepared but also very helpful. Marina did not just explain historical facts but allowed us to make a real journey into Armenian culture. Speaking of travel, we must mention the driver: Alexander. As a person who suffers a lot the car and even more the bus I just want to thank him because his guide, quiet and safe, made this tour, for me it is my family, perfect!

4.00Marina and Alexander were awesome. Unfortunately I found Gyumri to be underwhelming and the museum to be rather boring. Black fortress was cool. I got my hopes up and thought we were going to visit kurds but we didnt. I wanted to get out and see the sun temple and meet a kurd. That would have made it amazing. The final church was definitely interesting. The guide was awesome just wasnt my favorite tour personally.

5.00It's an interesting city, which should be protected by UNESCO. Its buildings are mainly 19th-20th century. During the journey you pass through the "Siberia" of Armenia!

3.00We chose this tour attracted by the great publicity that is done, and as comfortable as the trip was, in a large and clean coach, we did not much appreciate Gyumri: there is really too little to see beautiful and interesting. Our guide has worked in a thousand ways to try to make our excursion as interesting as possible, but the material to work on was very little... It went a little better, if only slightly better, with Harichavank. There are definitely much more interesting tours to do while in Armenia!

5.00The people at Hyur Service go above and beyond! Amazing company that strive for excellence. This tour was more laid back, and more self-examination, we ended up seeing several weddings going on. The driver Levin and our guide Monica were both fantastic. I ended up taking three different tours with Hyur Service, and have used them previous on my earlier visits to Armenia.
