Khor Virap
Khor Virap is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia, as it is directly connected with the adoption of Christianity. As a state religion, Christianity in Armenia was adopted in 301 due to endeavors of Saint Gregory The Illuminator, who, before converting King Trdat The 3rd to Christianity, was imprisoned in the dungeon, over which a church of Khor Virap monastery was built in the 17th century. From the monastery one can admire the stunning view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.

5.00Which allows for the discovery of the Armenian mountain. The beginning of the journey allows for the admiration of the snow-capped Mount Ararat, the mythical volcano of Armenia. But the highlight of the trip is indeed Noravank, a superb 13th-century monastery in a breathtaking natural setting. Samuel's clear explanations greatly enhance the interest of the trip, not to mention Spartak's perfect driving. To be done again as soon as possible.

5.00I joined a tour today and, to be honest, it felt a little awkward at first since most of the group spoke Russian and I didn’t. But the whole experience was actually really enjoyable. Even though each stop had a set time, it never felt rushed. The place that really stood out to me was Birds Cave—such a unique spot. The views at Novarank Monastery were absolutely beautiful, and visiting the Hin Areni Wine Factory was a completely new experience for me. Our guide, Nina, was fantastic. She explained everything in detail at each location, which made the tour feel so much richer. Honestly, I’d recommend this tour to anyone. No matter which package you choose, as long as the service is good, the memories you’ll take away will be worth it.

Leon, our driver was also fantastic, very safe, punctual, and professional throughout the journey. Everything was well organized, and we truly appreciated their hospitality and effort. 5.00Amazing tour and a professional and knowledgeable guide. It's packed with history and fantastic scenery of Armenia. Check the view from your bus windows. The only downside is you don't want to leave any of the destinations!
