s a part of Mtskheta city, Jvari (Holy Cross) monastery is as well included in the list of UNESCO's monuments. It was built in the first half of the 7th century in the very same place, where the preacher of Christianity saint virgin Nune (Nino) erected a cross.

Mtskheta, the first capital of Christian Georgia is located at the mix-point of Kura and Aragvi rivers. Historical Monuments of Mtskheta are on the List of World Heritage.

Rabati Castle
Rabati castle (9th century), located on the bank of Potskhovi River, is the main landmark of Akhaltsikhe, the capital of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Southern Georgia. The name of the town is translated as "new fortress", it was founded in Middle Ages (first mentionings in the chronicles were in the 12th century). Rabati used to serve as a defensive object of the region, it was built on a high hill thus being visible from any point of the city. Not far from the castle there are Samtskhe-Javakheti history museum, an orthodox church, a citadel, a mosque, also there stand touristic objects, such as restaurants, cafes, hotels and a marriage hall. In 12-13 centuries Rabati castle was expanded, becoming the residence of Jaqeli dynasty. In the years of 2011-2012 it underwent large-scale renovations.
Vardzia
Founded in the 12th century, Vardzia cave town is one of the most important and impressive historic monuments of Georgia, located at an altitude of 1300 m above sea level, at the height of 100 m from the foothills of the Erusheti Mountain. The complex used to have as many as 13 floors connected to one another by a complex system of tunnels. There were living quarters, refectories, barns, wine storing facilities (marani) as well as libraries in Vardzia complex. The town had potable water supply and a sewerage system. Vardzia carved monastery is part of the Vardzia Historical Architectural Museum Reserve. It is an incredible site to explore for those interested in history and culture.

5.00A friend and I did this tour last weekend with Hayk as our guide and Hajik as our driver. It was a really great way to fit in a trip to Georgia in just a weekend- as we were limited by working in the week. It’s about a 600 mile journey up the east of Armenia, then to Tbilisi, then back down the west the next day. The scenery out of the window is unbelievable!! We saw multiple golden eagles as well as a lot of buzzards. And the bus passes through lots of small villages where you see Armenia’s signature beautiful stray dogs (who are all incredibly friendly and gentle as everyone here treats them so kindly) and cows, stork nests on poles, people going about their lives in little quick glimpses as you drive by! The stops were beautiful- we were lucky with the cave walk that it was a beautiful day- swifts dart around the mountain face as you walk up, it’s really beautiful. Lunch on both days was really delicious traditional Georgian food- lots of plates on the tables to share with the others in the group. Hayk was such a lively and fun guide, sharing a lot of interesting information on the long drive, and being really kind and keeping on top of everyone’s questions etc! He and Hajik made us feel really welcome and relaxed at all the stops. We stayed in a really nice hotel in Tbilisi- I fitted in a 6am walk round the city then a swim in the hotel pool (it’s small but warm and super nice) before breakfast. It’s a long weekend but really worth it if you don’t have much time to see Georgia whilst you’re in Armenia. We saw so much out of the bus windows and in the stops, a tantalising look at this amazing country! The drive in the second day is along a national park and it is amazing.

5.00This is our third trip with Yur Service, and it was, as always, a high-level one. Huge thanks to our guide Haik and driver Hachik for their professionalism and total dedication! Despite the difficult route of crossing the border, it went quickly and without a hitch. Haik is a wonderful guide: erudite, sympathetic and tactful, with a fine diction, a sense of humor and a deep knowledge of culture, history and literature. Khachik is a great driver: calm, friendly – we felt comfortable with him all the way. During the sightseeing tour of Tbilisi, our group was caught in heavy rain. Hike arranged for everyone to take a taxi to the hotel, paid for the trip himself and cared very warmly for the guests at all times, making our journey truly memorable. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service, comfort and posh breakfast at the hotel in Tbilisi. Although this was not our first visit to Armenia and Georgia, we learned and saw many new and interesting things during this tour, spent two beautiful days as part of a friendly international group and even became friends with some of the participants. Unequivocally recommend Yur Service to all travelers and we will return here again, visiting beautiful Armenia!

5.00I traveled to Georgia on September 6-7 with Hyur Service from Yerevan, and it was a great experience! The driver, Khachik, was excellent- safe and professional. Our tour guide, Edward, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and spoke both Russian and English fluently. He shared so much interesting information and kept us engaged the whole time. Everything was well organized, and I would definitely recommend Hyur Service to others!!!

5.00Having been to Armenia many times i find every time a book a very intresting trip with Hyur Service, this time I booked a 2 day trip to Georgia. Out tour gude Edward was so imformative, he knows all the information and history of Armenia and Georgia, so intresting. Our driver Khachik drove very safely on the busy roads. There is a lot of walking on this tour and not a moment to rest. We had 2 very long but good days in Georgia with a beautiful hotel room, i was very shocked! Another amazing trip from Hyur.... heres to next years trip!

5.00I participated in this beautiful two-day excursion led by Eduard and the legendary driver Hayk. We spent a lot of time traveling and used it to get to know each other and enjoy the company of the group. Eduard has managed the timing very well, considering the delays that can occur when crossing the border between the two countries. The hotel we stayed in was central and we could walk around the city even independently. Tbilisi is very beautiful but the other stops of the tour were no less: a crescendo of emotions that fed with enchanting landscapes, suggestive churches and arrived at the monastery of Vardzia, where we lived a truly unique experience. I also loved the Rabati Fortress, a little Alhambra!

5.00We had an amazing experience with our talented guide, Haik. He is not only very knowledgeable but also fluent in multiple languages. Haik was extremely attentive to everyone, making sure our needs were met and that we were having a great time. He effortlessly switched between languages, which enhanced the experience for all. I learned so much from Haik during this tour. His calm and pleasant demeanor put everyone at ease, and we traveled singing songs in various languages, sharing poetry along the way. Our driver, also named Haik, was excellent, and we felt very safe in the car. The lunches were superb, offering the best of Georgian cuisine. There was an abundance of delicious food with a variety of selections for everyone to enjoy.

5.00We went to Georgia with Tikran and Khachik. The outward journey had become a bit exhausting due to the border controls and the waiting times involved. But the afternoon and evening in and around Tbilisi was unforgettable. What an effort Tikran went to, such a great guide and support until late in the evening back to the hotel. If we thought we had already seen a lot, we could experience far more the next day. It was really worth it. Even a short lap through Gyumri was still in time on the way back. Thanks to our safe driver Khachik we arrived far more relaxed than on the way back to Yerevan. It was a highly recommended tour, which has actually been exceptionally good considering the professional management, the amazingly good hotel accommodation as well as the rich and tasty lunches.
