Hovhannavank monastery bears the name of John the Baptist. The oldest church here is the one-naved basilica, built in the 5th century. In the 13th century, under the patronage of Vachutian dukes, new buildings were added. The portal of the main church, which is embellished with evangelical motifs, is of great interest.
Voskevaz Winery
Established in 1932, "Voskevaz" wine factory offers its visitors to taste wonderous and truly inspiring assortment of wines. The thing that makes this winery even special is that here wines are produced using both modern wine-making technology and old karases (traditional vessels for wine aging), made in the 19th century. During the tour you will visit wine cellars, explore the history of the factory, as well as learn about the peculiarities of wine-making.
