What To Expect

After going to the "Llanos del Cortés" waterfall, we continue for a short walk in the tropical forest where you can observe different species of birds, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans , sloths, different colors of little frogs, butterflies and we finish with a traditional Costa Rican meal.

We booked on-line. Had been reading up on several offered excursions. 3rd trip to Costa Rica. Each time different excursions. Johnny Travel RV sounded like just what we were looking for. Did not disappoint. Clean comfortable van. Allowed to take our time. Wonderful lunch after rainforest. Guide pointed out everything we asked about & helped us get some great pictures.

We had a great time on this tour, including the waterfall, volcano mud bath/hot springs, and animal sightings (sloth). Our tour guides were kind and helpful, and made our experience memorable.

Humberto was awesome. He and our driver were so much fun. We were a group of 13. By the end they felt like part of our group. They learned our names and were so good at making it a fun and memorable experience. Stopped at a grocery store to get diapers for us (and beer). Humberto really cares about giving you the best experience while in his country! Definitely use him for your next big Costa Rican adventure! ¡Pura Vida!

Erlan is the best guide in the whole beach. Every commitment that he made he accomplished. Every reservation that we made with him was followed through. Every single time we needed something he responded immediately to our messages. Erlan is the single person to visit when you’re on the beach here in Mansanillo peninsula Papagayo Costa Rica.

I highly recommend Carlos and his team for any Guanacaste needs. He was able to customize a tour to our precise interests, and the price was far better than offered by Planet Hollywood where we stayed. Our tour guide, Alex, was a delight, providing a fascinating history of Costa Rica we found enlightening. He took us to a gorgeous waterfall we could swim under, and a magical rainforest (including hanging bridges) where his knowledge of nature was impressive. We saw monkeys, toucans and all kinds of plant life. After a lovely lunch at a rustic, local restaurant, he took us to a sloth sanctuary that blew our minds! Later in our trip, Erlan was super helpful in arranging private rides to Playa Hermosa and the airport at a reasonable price. Thanks guys, it was amazing!

José was our tour guide for the 6 of us (me & husband & 2 sets of twins) he is GREAT with kids and must have washed their shoes a half dozen times. The lunch is a 10/10 fresh food. And last, but not least, we seen rare frogs and snakes, toucans, and SLOTHS!! Very personable and spoke great English. Highly recommend this.

Erlan and his team were great! We did multiple tours with them during our stay at planet Hollywood. Great communication and very friendly. The guides on the tours were very professional and did a great job. I would recommend anyone to book directly with them for great prices and a great time!
Amazing Costa Rica excursions

We did three separate activities through Erlan and Carlos. All were booked on the beach at Planet Hollywood resort and we’re great. As a family of three, we did private excursions as it was nearly the same price. This offer is the flexibility to spend more time and not be rushed through any activity. The tropical rainforest with sloths/frogs and coffee/cacao roasting was great. Guide was on time, knowledgeable, and very personable. Did a 1/2 day fishing trip that was a blast, catching Bonito and Jacks. I am very sensitive to sea sickness, and with the coves, breaking all the waves, there was little to be worried about, other than from passing boats. Lastly, we just finished up the Palo Verde boat tour with lunch at a local ranch. Guide was phenomenal, learned so much about Costa Rica and the habitat. Alex loves his job and it shows! Thanks for the wonderful memories and don’t hesitate to book with them!

Fantastic tour! We were picked up.in a very comfortable SUV. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and friendly. The scenery is amazing and the walk on the trail was easy with just a few stairs. We took loads of pictures and had lunch in a small local restaurant. It was a fantastic day.
