Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Tbilisi, passing through Telavi, the historic Alaverdi Monastery, and Alvani. Ascend the dramatic Abano Pass, one of Europe’s highest drivable roads, and enter the majestic land of Tusheti. After arriving in Omalo, settle into your traditional guesthouse and visit the Tusheti National Park Visitors Center for an introduction to the region.
Day 2 – Timeless Villages of Pirikiti Gorge

After breakfast, head to the breathtaking Que Viewpoint, then journey to the legendary stone villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, Dano, Parsma, and—if the weather allows—Girevi, the last accessible outpost before the border. Discover ancient towers, terraced hillsides, and the spirit of centuries-old Tushetian life.
Day 3 – Into the Clouds: Hike or Ride to Oreti Lake

Weather permitting, embark on a spectacular horseback and hiking tour to Oreti Lake, perched at 2,650m. Pass through the peaceful Village Kumelaurta and enjoy a lakeside lunch with sweeping alpine views. Alternative Option: Explore Gometsari Gorge, visiting Dochu, Bochorna (Europe’s highest year-round village), Iliurta Church, and the scenic hamlet of Jvarboseli.
