What To Expect
The first stop you are having is the horseback riding In our stables you are going to meet your partner for the next two hours, you can pet him and talk to him before we start. In case you don't have any riding experience we'll give all the instructions to ride a horse. Whenever you feel comfortable and ready we will begin our ride into a beautiful and unknown nature for a great experience. We have the ability to adapt the routes depending on your wishes, we have very wild off the beaten track routes, but also very calm and clear paths. Wild or not all our horseback rides have beautiful sceneries with unforgettable views that will last forever in your memories. We have great horses! You can canter and gallop if you feel like it, otherwise we can just go slow to appreciate the views. After riding the horses you visit the giant rock of Guatape and you climb its 749 steps to witness its majestic view. Finally you visit the colorful town of Guatape and get to know its landmarks and history. Join us now for this unforgettable day.

5.00This excursion was an A+ all the way through. Our tour guide Henry was incredible. From the moment he pick us up. Our first stop was horseback ridding. Stephania was waiting for us with horses ready. She was great as well. Incredible views though the ride. From there we headed to the town of Guatape where Henry gave us time to shop around and have lunch, he recommended places for both. He had decided to skip the peñol since we had seen it before and he want out of his way to show us other places we wanted to see. Overall this trip was a highlight of our vacation. Thank you so much Henry

Andres was an incredible guide, very knowledgeable of the area, with great food and shopping recommendations.

5.00I like today's adventure too much. Starting with our guide in the car Mr. HENRY, who not only transported us but accompanied us on the journey. Music, comfort, flexibility. Conversations during the walk. Excellent. I highly recommend it. And to make the day so much more pleasant, Miss Stephenia joined us. Who was also super attentive in the horseback riding. Both super recommended. They have and show a lot of experience in their performances. Henry picked us up at the hotel and we waited with patience and kindness. Even orders extra stops and conformed to our requirements. Always with very good communication and agreement.

5.00It was a super nice experience. Sara was an excellent guide and has a lot of expertise - she knew exactly what it was best to avoid the crowds and not lose time waiting. In addition, her manner was simply refreshing and warm. She gave us a lot of information and also the riding trip was well organized and at the end of the trip a great and quiet conclusion. How would you do it again and again?

5.00We had an amazing experience with Daniel as our private tour guide for Guatapé, El Peñol, and horseback riding. From start to finish, it was a blast. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable, easygoing, and made the entire day fun and engaging. Climbing El Peñol was an exciting challenge with incredible views, walking around Guatapé was vibrant and enjoyable, and the horseback riding was a peaceful, calming way to end the day. Each experience felt well paced and thoughtfully planned. Daniel made us feel comfortable the whole time and shared great insights along the way. We would absolutely recommend Daniel and look forward to coming back to do paragliding with him next time.

5.00This was perhaps my favourite day of all my travels in Colombia! We started early, meeting Estefania’s incredibly well-cared-for rescue horses for a beautiful two-hour ride through the lush, green outskirts of Medellín. While I am a rider, I had never ridden in the Colombian style before, and I must say that anyone trained in English riding should try it, it allows you to connect with the horses and the surrounding nature in a really special way. At the same time, this trip would also be absolutely ideal for non-riders or more hesitant riders who want to see the countryside from a completely different perspective, the horses are calm, gentle, and incredibly well trained, which makes the experience feel both safe and deeply enjoyable. Estefania’s horses are wonderful, attentive, happy, and clearly very well looked after. Next time, I will definitely be doing this ride with my 7-year-old daughter as well. However, perhaps the very best part of the day was spending time with Sara, an exceptional guide who thinks of everything you need (often before you even realise you need it). She continually curated and re-curated the itinerary on the spot, responding effortlessly to my interests and energy levels. She climbed the Guatapé rock with me, making sure I took enough breaks to acclimatise to the altitude. And as someone who genuinely seems to know everyone in Guatapé, from parking attendants to artists to every street dog by name, she offers a deeply personal and intimate experience of a town that is otherwise full of tourists. I honestly could not have asked for more and wholeheartedly recommend Medellín Day Trips, not only for this experience but for any trip you might want to take in the region. It was truly a very special day. Muchísimas gracias!
