What To Expect
Guatemalan Cooking Class with a Market Tour starts in the morning or in the afternoon with a visit of the local market in Antigua. Your host Joaquin will take you through the outside and inside market area where you will learn all about Guatemalan fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices while purchasing fresh products directly from local growers to use in your cooking class.

5.00This cooking class was such a highlight of our trip! From start to finish, everything was well organized, fun, and interactive. We got to learn about local ingredients, explore traditional cooking techniques, and actually prepare authentic Guatemalan dishes ourselves. The instructor was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel very welcoming and personal. The food turned out absolutely delicious, and it was so rewarding to enjoy a meal we made from scratch. It was not just a class, but a cultural experience, highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

The food was amazing and very typical and we had a very good time eating with him and talking about our lives. We would recommend 100%

5.00Almost 4.30 hours experience, really worth it. You visit the local market, buying some fruits and Dario guide you and explain everything. Then you are going to a nice roof top and cook 4 dishes. You learn many things for Maya culture and Guatemalas local food. It’s funny, interactive and you also eat a lot! I really enjoy it, everything was so well organised!

5.00Great experience, all the staff were friendly, and it was a nice opportunity to share with other travelers. The food was great, and the market tour was very informative and helped to learn about their day-to-day. I even left a ring on the transportation service, and they helped me to recover it. The value of the tour is according to the value you get.

5.00What an amazing time ! One of the best cooking classes I have taken. Everyone had a great time. The staff were all friendly and professional. Everything was fresh and we had lots of instruction on how to prepare everything perfectly. We chose the Jocon as our main. It was a delicious soup. The appetizer, sides and dessert were all excellent as well. Plenty of wine and non alcoholic choices to drink. The complimentary shot glass and tequila at the end was the perfect end to a great class. I highly recommend. The views were beautiful from the rooftop.
