What To Expect
Guatemalan Cooking Class with a Market Tour starts in the morning or in the afternoon with a visit of the local market in Antigua. Your host Joaquin will take you through the outside and inside market area where you will learn all about Guatemalan fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices while purchasing fresh products directly from local growers to use in your cooking class.

5.00What an amazing time ! One of the best cooking classes I have taken. Everyone had a great time. The staff were all friendly and professional. Everything was fresh and we had lots of instruction on how to prepare everything perfectly. We chose the Jocon as our main. It was a delicious soup. The appetizer, sides and dessert were all excellent as well. Plenty of wine and non alcoholic choices to drink. The complimentary shot glass and tequila at the end was the perfect end to a great class. I highly recommend. The views were beautiful from the rooftop.

5.00Absolutely worth every penny. We had to walk to get from the market to the class because the roads were closed for the processiones, but even that was amazing and beautiful. The class was fun, Karina was a great teacher, Estaban was very helpful and informative as a guide and interpreter when needed. 100% would do again.

5.00What a great experience! Dario was a great guide and made the entire experience fun and funny. Don't skip the market tour! We discovered a lot of cool veggies and other food you can't find in the US. Plus, we rode from the market to the kitchen site on a chicken bus, an experience we wouldn't have tried on our own! And the dishes we cooked were excellent--definitely ones I want to try at home. If I have one complaint, it's that they don't provide copies of the recipes to take home, but that's a minor issue for an otherwise excellent, fun, informative class. Thanks, Dario and Cuscun!

5.00We helped prepare a four-course dinner using local foods and recipes. Dario, the guide/chef first gave us a tour of the central market and purchased some of the ingredients for the dinner. We rode a chicken bus to the dining location just outside the city. Then we drank wine and chopped it all up. He and his assistants did the final preparation while the guests chatted. We were all dropped off at our hotels about 6 hours later. This was a wonderful experience, best cooking class we have ever taken!

5.00So much fun!!!! I had walked the market earlier but it was totally different seeing it with a guide. Loved hearing about everything from Fernanda, she was the best!!! Food was INCREDIBLE as well, items you cannot find in restaurants!

5.00Roberto ( ebbher) was amazing. So knowledgable and gave us such an in depth tour of the market. The food we cooked was delicious and we had such a fun time with the group. They went above and beyond. It felt like eating with family. This was such a special experience I'll remember it forever. Thank you cuscun team ❤️
