We toured through the massive market and learned some really impressive things about some items there. Our instructor picked out some choice ingredients from special vendors, and then he drove the small group to his rooftop school where he and his assistant Diego shared with us some choice recipes! We had such a magical experience- the view from the rooftop was so dreamy. I cannot recommend it enough!!

Such an amazing experience! Our group of 5 girls had a wonderful time with Milton. We started by visiting the market before making our way to his beautiful rooftop kitchen. I really enjoyed that he took his time to explain the history and traditions of the meals. We were assigned small individual tasks and at the end ate everything we made. No cooking skills required and easy for beginners. We left with a full belly!

Such an amazing experience!! We walked through the local market to pick out our produce and protein and it was so amazing to see the local culture. The cooking class was so fun, we did it in his home which was so sweet and the view for the class was awesome. He is so friendly and knows what he is doing. I would book again!

Very fun class! The food was delicious and Milton was great. The group was fun as well and I loved learning to make these foods. My only complaint is I would have loved to get the recipes!

Cooking with Milton was definitely a highlight of our trip! The location we cooked (his home) at was breathtaking, and it felt very grounding and special to handpick ingredients at the market together. We would absolutely recommend it.

This was such a wholesome experience! Milton took us to the Mercado and showed us his “go tos” and we bought some of the ingredients we were going to need to prepare our dishes. We also picked fresh fruits that we got to try as a “snack” during the cooking class. Then we took tuktuks to his home where we had the class. The setup on the rooftop was beautiful & volcano views. We were a small group and it felt so personal. Milton explained the dishes we were going to prepare and all the steps/ingredients we were going to use. We had water, hibiscus tea and red wine throughout the evening. It was so much fun and I am so grateful I was able to experience this. The food was absolutely delicious. Also I am a solo traveller and I felt very comfortable/safe/included and I got to meet incredible people during my activity.

We had such an amazing time at the Foodietenago cooking class! Milton made the experience excellent from start to finish. We got to learn about the daily markets and followed him through them as he picked out the foods we’d be preparing during the class. He then took us to his home where he taught us about Guatemalan cuisine while showing us how to prepare each dish. The tostada we made was incredible! The Pepián was amazing. It was so nice to get a local experience and learn while cooking together in the class. At the end, Milton arranged tuktuks to take us back into town which was a nice little ending to the whole night. We highly recommend booking this class with Milton, it was a highlight of our trip!!

My husband 2 boys ( ages 21 & 16) and I got to experience Milton’s amazing hospitality. His love for Antigua- the culture, the people and food was so evident in his class. We all learned several new techniques and delicious recipes. The market tour was out of this world too. So cool to get the inside scoop and see it from a locals perspective. Thank you Milton for the great experience!
