4.00This commences with a short talk and documentary about the architectural history of Napier. And then a short walking tour looking at about 20 buildings/sights. All very interesting. The guide was passionate about the topic and the individual Audio Units worked well.

5.00Our guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable, accepting of people’s comments and questions, thorough. As someone who grew up in Napier he was able to add stories and insights to the factual content of his talk. Seeing the movie of Napier before and immediately after the earthquake, along with the 1865 and 1965 maps, gave context to what we were seeing and hearing about. The tour moves at a good pace but not a difficult one. There was plenty of time for people to take photos as we stopped along the way.
