Started with a 20minute film showing Napier pre and post earthquake. Then we were given a guided tour of the local buildings, we all had headsets so you could easily hear the guide. Bev was an excellent guide, with snippets of interesting stories and gave us a great overview of the buildings. Plus gave us ideas of where to visit after the walk.

Lovely work around the town - which is beautiful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the use of radios means you can easily hear what he is saying even in a busy city. The guides are volunteers and the entry fee is used to ensure the buildings are preserved. The city itself is worth the visit even if you are not into art deco

The guide showed us the city in a completely different light. Not just as a city that suffered an earthquake, but the story of each building, anecdotes and quirky details

Very informative, but a bit rushed. Would have been better if allowed in more buildings, not just one bank.

Only in Napier for a day as on a cruise. Our day in the town was great and this was due to the fabulous guided walking tour provided by Bev from the Art Deco Trust. Her enthusiasm for art deco was infectious and the scene was set with the short film before the tour started. The locals of Napier go all out (including dressing up in art deco period clothes) to ensure tourists enjoy their visit - such a beautiful town!

Cindy (our schoolteacher guide) was great. She was very informative, friendly, and very aware of keeping our group safe. I definitely recommend this walking tour to see and understand a large part of Napier. The movie at the beginning is a plus!
