Be among the locals and get a better understanding of the Dutch. Go on a small adventure, tasting new things you didn’t know excited. Challenge yourself. Meet new friends. This is the low-key way to discover a new city during a chill afternoon, exploring sights, finding cute, tucked away places meeting locals and get some knowledge about the city and her cuisine. One thing is for sure: you don’t need any more food the rest of your day.
So what are we going to do?
Me or another enthusiastic, food loving tour guide will take you and the rest of the group on a three hour food journey through the city. We will walk and eat some of the food inside and eat others on the go. You can buy optional drinks at the restaurants we’re going to (drinks are not included!). During the tour you’ll receive some fun facts about Rotterdam and the history of it’s food, but don’t expect a 3 hour history lesson from us. We talk, have fun, eat and drink. Eat with you soon!

Our tour with Merrel was lovely! She was very communicative as we were scheduling the tour around a work conference. We spent 3 hours walking around the city and stopping at quite a few spots. I’m glad that I read other reviews and came with an empty stomach. It was definitely a full meal worth of food! The brewery we ended the tour at was great and our group stayed for a couple hours after. 10/10, highly recommended

The food was very good. Started with an appetizer and ended with a bowl of soup with rice in side. We tasted a soufflé as well. All of it was perfect!

Don’t plan to eat anything after the tour! We couldn’t even finish all the food on the tour, took some back to the hotel

This was a fun and YUMMY food experience! We had four totally different foods, Krokets, Suranom-Javanese soup, killer award winning sweet-potato-french-fries, and delicious cheese cake. Our guide Jenny was very good and explained a lot about the food scene in Rotterdam. Unfortunately we took this tour on our last day, and wish we had made it our first tour of the city. So much good food, so little time!

We had a great time during our tour. Jenny was super sweet, personal, and knowledgeable. We learned a lot during our time with Jenny. But it wasn’t a super boring lecture. It was just a casual conversation while walking through town and tasting some yummy food. My girls (6 and 9) are somewhat picky eaters but not only did they tried everything, they really liked some of the stuff we tried. Of course we all loved the sweets, but the fried fish and the Surinamese food were both our favorite!!! If you are going to Rotterdam, this is a tour you have to try!

Joeri was a great guide. We saw a lot of Amsterdam, had only one other couple on the tour. Loved the food, stories, history…. Even the herring!

The food was very tasty and enjoyed the walk around town… wished we had a little more information shared as per the food and history of the area than we received…

We enjoyed our foodie tour with Jenny yesterday . We discovered much of Rotterdam, had delicious food from the Markthal, Japanese souffle cafe, soup and plantains with peanut sauce, and finished with bevvys . Jenny was a delight and we love Rotterdam.
