We will cross the Gulf of poets we will cross the Portovenere canal coasting the Palmaria islands, arriving in the wonderful Byron cave, under the majestic church of San Pietro.

To discover all the marvelous coves arriving towards the marvelous crystalline waters of the "red" and "black" ones on the border of the 5 Terre park, we will return for a stop in the harbor admiring the famous Byron cave.

We will continue towards the 5 most famous countries in the world that need no introduction, the famous 5 Terre, where you can dive into the wonderful sea of the natural park among green hills

Finally, we will return to the port of departure, skirting the marvelous colored houses of Portovenere and its majestic church of San Pietro.

What To Expect

Isola Palmaria

Palmaria has a vaguely triangular shape and has a surface area of just under 2 km2. Its highest point, the "summit", reaches 180 meters above sea level. The highest part of the island slopes rather gently on the northern side (the one facing Portovenere) and on the eastern one (opposite La Spezia). These slopes are covered with holm oak woods and Mediterranean scrub, which alternate with ancient terraces. The western side of Palmaria is instead characterized by vertiginous cliffs of clear rock, which follow one another overhanging the sea. The only nucleus of houses that could be defined as an inhabited center is Terrizzo, which has roughly fifty inhabitants. On the rest of the island, except for the hordes of summer tourists, human presence is very limited.

Located in the Gulf of Poets, a short distance from La Spezia and therefore also from Tuscany, this picturesque fishing village constantly attracts thousands of tourists, in every season of the year.

The boat was clean, Alfredo was kind and shared his knowledge of the region with us. The food served was excellent and enough for a light lunch. He tailored the trip to what we wanted to see. Communication was great!

Outstanding afternoon on the water. Our guide, Andreas, was wonderful. He was a knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly host on this tour. My entire family (especially my teens) LOVED this tour. We saw all 5 towns of Cinque Terre and stopped to swim in beautiful coves with clear blue water. (Saw some pretty fish) plenty of cold drinks, fruits as a snack and music. Best afternoon! Highly recommend! We were staying in Porto Venere, they picked us up at the marina. Very convenient and saved us trip to La Spezia.

We had a wonderful boat ride along the cinque terra coast. Our captain, Alfredo, was awesome. He played informational narratives about each town. He took us to a great place to swim. He also provided really delicious snacks. Highly recommend this tour!

If I could give this more stars, I would! My boyfriend and I had the absolute best time. The boat seemed pretty new and was in great condition. Super clean. Alfredo is so sweet and has the coolest vibe. He also spoke english very well! He took us to the BEST spots that were breathtaking and not crowded which we appreciated. He had a delicious spread waiting for us to eat when we got out of the water. Totally recommend stopping and walking through Porto Venere, it was amazing! And he made sure we were back to our cruise ship on time. Overall, a better experience than we expected and we hope to come back and do it again someday!
