I also include sugar-free sodas if there are children going on the hike.
Hiking in Big Bear Lake is even more fun with a local nature guide who can explain some of the region's flora and fauna.

What To Expect
Big Bear Lake
We will meet in the Knickerbocker parking area and hike up into the forest. We will hike up the dirt road into the forest and enjoy spectacular views of the lake. This particular trail is an advanced to moderate hike, everything is difficult in the beginning. If you are interested in making the hike easier before the sunset and champagne on the dock, please feel free to inquire about that.
Pine Knot Village
At the end of the hike, we will return to our separate vehicles, and drive separately to the marina (two minute by car) There I will provide a bottle of champagne for your group (one bottle of champagne for every two guests) and you and your guests can sit on the private dock at the marina and watch the sunset.

5.00Amber took us on a wonderful hike and we ended it with a sunset on a boat. She is so knowledgeable about plants and history of the whole Big Bear Lake area! We girls highly recommend!!!!!

4.00I went in December and there was no snow but my experience was wonderful. Because Big Bear with snow or without snow is beautiful. We ate at teddy bear and all super rich.

5.00The hike with Amber was AMAZING and something we are so glad we did so early on in our trip. It’s our first time in Big Bear and having someone like Amber to show us around was amazing (we were able to get recommendations for where to go for water activities etc). The hike had so many incredible look out points and Amber was great at pointing out the things that made Big Bear unique. We will definitely be coming back in the winter to do other tours with Amber! Also her baked goods were A+ (We got the cookies and chocolate muffins) Sitting in the boat watching the sunset was so peaceful. Amber gave us some time alone and it was incredibly romantic. We feel like we got a little taste of what it’s like to be a local in Big Bear.

5.00Wow what a hidden gem we found in this hiking experience! This was my first time booking a TripAdvisor experience and was thrilled with what a score we found. Our guide took us on such a beautiful hike with the best view of Big Bear Lake. She took photos of my husband and I nice enough to frame. Enjoying the champagne on her boat in the harbor afterwards was such a zen way to watch the sunset.
